Rate reflects PA discount which runs during the summer and fall. A nice place to relax for a few days after the snowbirds fled. Tends to get a little windy, but has lots of nice people. A resident even assisted me in bringing down my awning after the wind kicked up.
A very nice campgruond with nice hiking trails near the urban areas but within a National Park. We camped on Sunday evening and the place was pretty empty. I really enjoyed this place despite a lot of wind during our stay.
This is what I call the greatest campground I never stayed in. I did find and park in a great site, with a great little hike to the beach. The site was beautiful. However, the pay phone was out of order and Verizon did not work and I needed one or the other. Will stay here someday when the phone is not necessary.
This park is tough to beat. You must be an Elk in good standing or traveling with an Elk to stay here. The park is beautiful, has blazing fast WiFi, a limited number of cable TV channels, new showers and restrooms and two dumps. Our Verizon barely worked here.
Nice campground, in a great community, with fantastic beach access. If you need WiFi though, they recently had it removed from the CG, apparently in a dispute with the vendor. Otherwise a great experience.
I really liked this park. Sure, there were some mosquito's, but not as bad as others would like you to believe, get a room at the Hilton. The only issue that keeps this from a ten is all the loops in this CG are one way streets and depending on the site you may have the door to your RV open toward the street and away from your campsite. Check a map before you reserve.
I really liked this place. Sure Clear Lake is famous for 1950's era resorts. I liked the dock at sunset, great place to enjoy a fine glass of local Lake County wines. It was nice being there off-peak as well. Hook-ups were swell, I really needed Wi-Fi; but for being promoted as such a dog friendly place why charge me five bucks daily for my pooch?
Hard to find faults with this jewel. The Me Wuks did a fantastic job on this one, it is a great park. The clubhouse with HDTV, morning coffee and newspaper is innovative. If I wanted to nitpick, why have showers and clubhouse only in the front of the park? I will definitely return.
This older national forest park is a jewel for smaller rigs, and great for the near peak periods. If you like crowds, the summer programs and social life for the kids could be the highlight of summer. If you hae a big rig, find an alternative site.
