It is obvious they are upgrading this place. They need to hurry. CtC members - beware. They only have certain sites for us and they are right by the rec center - which on Saturday night was a biker hangout and party place. The first site they put me in had the water and electric on the wrong side and the tree blocked my dish - the lady was nice enough to let me move to a site that was open. They had plenty of nice sites available - just not to me. And the bathroom by the rec center were just passable. I had to pay taxes and a $15 resort fee in addition to the 29/night. There must be a nicer place for the money - you should look.
I would have normally given this RV park a much lower score, but it is all about location. It is basically a parking lot with gravel spots for RV's. The sites are not very level, which amazes me. The office staff was not very friendly, but they were adequate. There was construction on the main road into the park. I was very impressed with the bathrooms and laundry room, mostly because I expected much worse. BUT - you can walk 5 blocks and catch a subway right into the World Trade Center site, take a boat from the parking lot into NYC, and see the Statue of Liberty almost from your RV. If you are there to visit NYC - I don't see how it could be any more convenient.
I stayed here as a ROD member. I wish they were staying open longer, so I could see more of the area but they closed on 10-15. I found a level site after trying a few. It is my pet peeve about RV parks. It shouldn't be rocket science to level these things out. Otherwise it was a very nice park with nice, helpful staff.
I stayed here as a CtC member. They had shut most of the seasonal sites down for the winter but it was still open for travelers until November. Very nice campground with friendly, helpful staff. Great laundry room and excercise room. The grounds were clean and well kept. It is close to the 2 nice coastal towns and very close to golf courses. I would stay here again.
Nice sites. I stayed as a CtC member and got a discount. The sites were priced differently if you got pull through or nicer padios. My basic site was very nice and easy to get Direct TV on. The bus to train transportation was very conveinent. I would stay here again to visit DC.
I stayed here for a week. I was right on the canal to the Back Bay park area. It was great for kayaking. I could wash my RV here. The sites are large and the people in the office were very helpful and friendly. I would stay here again.
Well kept KOA with nice managers. I stayed here for 2 weeks and stored my coach for 2 weeks while I traveled back home. They were very accommodating and had lots of information about the area. Even helped me get a cab for the airport and tell the cabbie where to take me. 20 minute drive to subway and 5 minutes to train.
