We stayed from Sept. 26-Oct.7, 2006 this year and had a great time. This is a great location for fall color observing, moose watching, and a lot of local attractions such as Mt. Washington, many hiking trails, rivers/lakes, and much more. We have stayed here many times and keep coming back in late Sept. and early October. You will have to do some driving for groceries etc...but it is worth it. We saw 15 moose in the area while staying at this KOA. We saw the peak of Fall color which is too good to describe...you have to be there. I highly recommend it to anyone I know that wants to stay in this area of NH. They also added a cabin or two in the past year if you do not tent camp or have an RV. Very clean and QUIET campground. I do not think you will be disappointed!

Very peaceful and quiet. Not tents or pets alowed making it very serene. We have stayed there at least three times now and really enjoy each visit. LONG pull thrus with plenty of room for slide outs. This is a clean, safe, and well operated campground. We have a 28' TT with a slide out.

We joined my parents from NM while we drove from NJ to Crossville, TN. Restrooms were roomy and clean with sink, toilet, and shower in each. They did not have the heat on despite asking to turn it on since we had frost the first two mornings. The pull thru sits were not done. The cable tv was very good with 70 channels. The two ponds they have were catch and release. We caught 150 blue gill and some large mouth bass during our week stay. We had a blast! Mountain view from the CG. Can here some I-40 traffic noise but did not prevent us from sleeping or disrupt our stay. Friendly staff at this up and coming KOA. The clubhouse/rec. room was not open from 11am-3pm b/c the office staff had to run errands. This is puzzling? If you have facilities, make them available, not with restricted times. With all this said, we had a great time with my parents visiting the area. Great scenery and the cg was worth the price of admission and we would stay there again when in the area.

The sites on top (newest sites) are very nice, roomy, quiet -- away from road noise and closest to the newest restroom building. A lot of things to do in the area. We drove to the top of Mt. Washington, fall color was fantastic, visited friends in Maine, and were able to observe several moose on early (crisp) morning drives along likely areas. Had a great time. Owners have the grounds in great shape. We are going back again this October.

On opening day (5/13/05) the grass was not cut, urinal and shower was out of order, nats were a major problem, no sewer hook ups an issue. The rate of $36 for Sun-Thur and $39 for Fri-Sat. is a lot when cable is not available and the pool is not even open. We were disappointed to say the least. The sites are large by any standards. Roads thru the CG are in need of repair--puddles and ruts. Lot of bridges out causing a long detour to and from I-80. Firewood bundle is a poor value for $5. Buy the firewood sold down the road in a box for $3--you will not be disappointed. Restrooms have only screens on windows above the sinks--no heat or AC. Be ready for humid or cold conditions depending on the weather after you get out of the shower. Do not like the push button shower system. The CG also charges $2 extra if you plan to run your AC. That's is a joke! C'mon guys you are charging enough seeing as you do not have sewer hook up or cable available. Wagon rides available but for a 25 cent fee per person. Not many were going on the ride.

We drove 660 miles from NJ (one way) to stay at Willow Tree Resort and it was worth every mile! We satyed 8 nights. The sites are great with a lot of room between sites (unusual in todays campgrounds), long paved pull thrus in most sites, catch and relaease fishing was a blast--my wife caught as many as I did. It was quiet at night except for the frogs and Whiporwills--nature at its best! Restrooms were great-clean and spacious with each having a lot of room to hang items and lay out articles such as towels, backpacks, shoes, etc. Cannot say enough. I was shown the cottages for a future trip with friends who do not have a camper and it looked very nice on the lake with a screen room attached. The resort staff, management, and ownership deserve a lot of credit for the planning, design, and operation of this camping resort. Well done! Go and you will not be disappointed. They have and are doing almost everything right at this campground.
