My rating is based on the very friendly staff we met. The location is secluded, yet close to town for supplies. The trees are thick, which makes satellite access more difficult, but the staff recommended some sites where we were able to get coverage. Not all sites are equipped with sewer connection, but this is a more rustic campground which accepts RV's. It's not paved roads, which was fine with us. The internal scenery of the park is great, with separation between you and the next camp site. They were in the process of removing a number of trees in the lower section to open up the grounds to the sun, while maintaining the desired shade for summer months. We plan to return many times. We enjoyed our stay and expect to do so again.
A nice park, seemingly well maintained. The grounds were clean and the hookups easily accessible. Site were average in width and length but very level, which is nice with a 1 night stay and wanting to stay connected for early departure. Convenient to the freeway, but didn't notice much noise. Laundry room was large with about 8 washers and 5 large dryers. It would have been nice to use the pool and spa, but they close quite early. When you arrive in the late afternoon and have some chores to finish, not much opportunity to use the amenities. Wi-Fi was another inconvenience, as it only works in the office area or within a 15-20' area near the office. We stayed one night and would stay here again.
For a highly rated park, we were not as impressed as many of the past who've stayed here. We arrived and asked for a good level site, as we were having a mechanical problem with our landing gear. We were given a site touted as the most level. Not so. We requested a different site, which was already occupied and finally a third site which was still not very level. The maintenance of the grounds appeared left untouched for a time, likely due to the pending end of the season closure. The store and office were nice and kept in good order. The sites were narrow and not the most level around. We stayed 3 nights and would likely not return.
This is a nice park. Narrow sites and not the most level we've used. Nice view of the valley and local farm lands. Very convenient to the freeway. Didn't hear any trains or traffic during our 1 night stay. Nice young man who checked us in, had the be most polite and efficient we've ever encountered. He had us checked in and headed to our site in less than a minute. We would stay here again for a short visit in the area or passing through.
Nice little park. Slightly tight, narrow interior roads, especially around the office. Did see some deer and wild turkey's as advertised. Easy walk to some local eateries. We stayed only one night at end of the season, so not able to really spend much time evaluating the amenities. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
This is one of our favorite places to take our RV. We always try to get a site overlooking the bay. The sites are very roomy and level. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The view and proximity to the local flavor is another draw to us for coming here. The park is very well maintained. We like to get fresh seafood to cook at our site, and when we're in the mood, walk to some good restaurants with great seafood options. We'll definitely be back.
Nightly rate reflects Passport America pricing. Our site was good for our needs. We had sufficient room on both sides with the slides out. Sites have fire pits. General maintenance of the facilities and sites could be improved. The entry road is in need of new gravel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed three nights. We would stay here again for short term visits.
Small, level, concrete sites. No distance to speak of between you and the neighbor behind you. Narrow patch of grass on the sides. We stayed on a Friday evening and listened to the sound of racing cars or motorcycles from the nearby speedway. This made getting to sleep a little more challenging. Clean park and friendly staff. Not a park we would be eager to stay in again.
Very quiet location, with incredible scenery. Sites are quite level in the area we stayed, however, tight to get into with our 5th wheel trailers. The trees in the sites made it a difficult maneuver, along with the parks instruction to stay off the grass. This was not possible. This was an excellent location for base camp to explore the attractions in the area and to enjoy the wonderful bike path which runs right next to the park. We stayed here 3 nights and would stay here again.
When we checked in, we requested a level site so we could leave our RV on the tow vehicle for our one night stay. We were told the sites are very level. This was not so. We had to disconnect in order to get the RV leveled. Nice quiet location, on the river. The pool and spa are located in the adjacent hotel, which is not overly convenient to RVers, but nicely equipped. We would stay here again.
Quiet, friendly park. We stayed here one night while traveling west. Generally level sites of gravel/dirt. We did a late check-in so didn't really get to interact with the staff much. We would stay here again.
Great place. We stayed 3 nights and wanted to stay for a month or more. Well maintained, level sites. Quiet location with nearest freeway about 5 miles away. Staff were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about local eateries and directions and history. We would stay here again.
Nice, quiet, shady, level sites. Some tight areas for backing into with a larger 5th wheel. Not much for grasses, mostly natural forested sites. Well located for avoiding the local Branson traffic problems. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean laundry facility and a well stocked store in the main office building. We stayed here 5 nights.
Okay for a one night stay. We were parked in the upper, rear area. Mostly gravel sites, level with dirt and dead grass between sites. Not a location we would consider staying in the future. General maintenance appeared to be lacking at the time of our stay. Toward the end of their season.
Quiet, clean conveniently located park. Near the end of the season, so some general maintenance, such as lawns were left unattended. Wood decks at each site were in need of repairs. Sites were dirt/gravel and level. Friendly staff. We stayed one night while traveling east.
Quiet, clean, well maintained park. Medium sized grassy areas between sites. Sites were generally level side to side, but ours was sloped front to back. We stayed one night and with the slope, we needed to disconnect our tow vehicle to get the 5th wheel more level. We would stay here again.
Quiet, clean, generally level sites. We stayed one night while traveling east. Friendly, helpful staff. Toward the end of the season so some general maintenance appeared to be left undone. We would stay here again.
Clean, narrow sites. Stayed one night while passing through the area. Very difficult to see the entrance to the park from the main street we traveled in on from the South. The sign to the park was not visible until we passed the small street leading to the park. Nice, friendly staff. Our site had limited room to put the slides out on the driver side, due to the person next to us parking their car in the area where I slides would go. We also had limited room to park our tow vehicle next to the RV. This left no room to put a lawn chair out to relax. No table at the site either. Not likely a park we would stay at again.
Our rate was per Passport America. Excellent park. Very clean. Friendly staff who were quite busy getting the park ready for winter closure. We paid for two nights, but only stayed one, as the weather turned on us and we decided to leave early. We didn't attempt to ask for a refund, as it was our decision to leave and wouldn't expect the park to refund. We did wash the front of our 5th wheel with permission, an no fee. They only charge for washing a full unit. We were very pleased with the park and do plan to return, especially since we didn't get to go into Glacier due to weather and road closures. So, we'll be back.
This is an exceptionally well maintained park, clean and still with colorful flowers. The sites are paved, with brick patios and wide grassy areas between sites. Relaxing by the pond added to the experience. Staff were busy all day, taking care of the grounds and very friendly. A well stocked market is located at the main office area. Check in was quick and easy. We stayed 5 nights and plan to return often.
The park didn't appear to be the best kept. We planned to use the spa, but after getting dressed in our suits and walking to the pool and spa, we found debris and house flies floating in the spa. We chose not to use the spa and instead take a shower. The showers was of a nice size and design, but not as clean as one would expect for a Trailer Life rated 10 park. The employee on duty was very pleasant, friendly and helpful.
