This is a beautiful little campground in the Big South Fork Recreation Area. Good-sized sites that offer electric and water. The bath-house is clean, but the showers aren't the most modern you'll ever come across. But they are functional. You must follow bear country guidelines when it comes to food storage. Bear proof trashcans and food lockers are provided. But I highly doubt that you will ever see a bear in or near this campground. Plenty to see and do within easy driving and hiking distance. Gorgeous views from the hiking trails. I will definitely return to this campground again. I would rate it higher than an eight if the showers were a little more modern and full-hookups were offered.

That's really all this park is good for. There were lots of really trashy seasonals scattered all through the park. The hookups were located WAAAAY up near the road so that all the hookups had to be made up near the trailer tongue instead of the bumper like every other campground in the entire world. The WiFi was great, the cable was good. The site was fairly nice other than the crazy placement of hookups. Lots of ants! Be sure to have a long sewer hose if you plan on staying here. This campground is adequate as a place to sleep for a night and then pull out in the morning. Close to lots of restaurants and shopping. I would likely look for a different place to stay when passing through this area again. But if I had to stay here again, it wouldn't really bother me.

It is located on the site of an actual Civil War battlefield. That was pretty cool. It's a VERY nice campground. Clean and well-maintained. The sites are all pull through, with water, electric, sewer and cable. The sites are a little on the narrow side. I don't know if we would have been able to deploy our awning fully or not, but since we were just overnighting, we didn't even try. Most other campers had their awning out, so I guess we could have if I had parked the camper a little closer to the hookups. We didn't use the bath house, but I did look at them so that I could review them. They were FANTASTIC! The showers are some of the nicest I've ever seen at a campground. Each one has it's own room, with a chair and a peephole. The water pressure was great, the cable was crystal clear and the hookups were located so that I was easily able to hook everything up. The playground was a nice place for the kids to go while we unhooked and hooked back up the next morning. There's lots of restaurants and shopping nearby, and the campground has a surprisingly nice selection of RV items available in the camp store. Highly recommend this great campground.

We absolutely loved this campground. The campground is beautiful and nestled in between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intercoastal Waterway. The sites and the roads are mostly sand and crushed shells, but didn't feel too soft anywhere. Most of the sites are very shady, which in FL is awesome. WiFi was available but really only in the office (which was set up with several tables and places to sit and use a laptop). The bath houses are in need of a serious update. The water pressure was good, and having a sewer hook up was very nice. The cable was OK, but not crystal clear. The campground was VERY quiet even though it was nearly fully occupied. The trees and bushes really help to cut down noise. I found the office staff to be very courteous and helpful. The pool was always clean, but the jacuzzi wasn't operating properly. It was ICE cold. There were some slightly trashy looking seasonal sites, as well, but with the heavy growth around each site, you really couldn't see them very well, so they didn't bother us at all. I will DEFINITELY be returning to this campground whenever I get the chance. Very glad that we stayed here and found this great campground.

We camped here in July of 2008 on our way to Florida. We were really just looking for a quick overnight stop, but we were so pleasantly surprised to find this little jewel of a campground. The staff are probably the friendliest I've ever met, from the moment you get there until you drive out you feel like you're really welcome. I can't say enough good things about them. The sites were easily accessible and level. The bathhouse was clean and functional and about as private as any I've found. We will definitely return here any time we're passing through this area.
