A Christian ministry campground, but they don't preach to you. Its alcohol free - which is good for the kids. They offer hot showers, a movie and popcorn (free) and breakfast on Sat & Sun for a "donation" - they're only there in March and August for Bristol race and offer free shuttle transportation to the race track. The workers are all volunteer, but the way they treat you, you'd think they were paid. It was a very nice weekend for our family.
It seems like they are trying to "look" great instead of being great. They seem to be really pushing their snack bar. They renamed it and changed their menu. The quality of the food wasn't what it was in August. They remodled the office and spent some money on other things that really don't seem to make much sense. I would have rather I had a picnic table. The staff seemed more phony than I remember. We didn't sign up for next race. We'll probably try to find something a little more camper oriented.
Dirty bathrooms, overflowing dumpster compacted by the owner in an old tractor, monthly sites that look like skid row housing. The nice sites were the "patio" sites and they cost more. Not every site has 50 amp hook up and the sewer backed up all over the row of sites we were on. Overpriced on everything in the store - especially the coffee (no - its not free, please give me $3 for that cup). They seemed more interested in making money than in making your stay comfortable.
