This is a first come first serve campground with vault toilets and no shower or dump facilities. Some of the sites (ours) had 20/30/50A hookups. There are ample spigots for getting water. Roads are paved sites are gravel with table and fire ring. Park hosts were friendly and did a good job keeping park neat and clean. This is a hidden treasure on Hwy 191 just a few miles from West Yellowstone. This will be a definite stop on our list again.
From the moment of our arrival, everything was great. Friendly, knowledgeable and courteous staff at arrival. The park was kept clean as were the rest rooms and recreation building. The park was far enough from the road that you could sleep with your windows opened and enjoy the peace and quiet.
My wife was injured there and we had to go to the emergency room. No manager or supervisor was there to help us. They did not offer any assistance other than telling us which hospital to go to. Was going to go back for Christmas and asked for a discount on site. Answer was "no". "If you want anything file with insurance". So instead of giving us a $150.00 discount we will give them a $2000.00 bill. Good business?
Great place off of the main road. Quiet, with a mix of regular campers and horse campers. Deer all over the place. Saw 20 in 4 mile stretch of road. Beautiful views of mountains in front and forest in back. Owners bend over backwards to accommodate you. Ice cream social every night. Restrooms were clean as was the campground. Would definitely come back.
This is our second time here. It is a great home base for exploring Nashville and the Opry. The facility was clean and quiet considering your proximity to the highway. You can never go wrong staying here.
