This was a lovely park, wooded and shade trees. Level pull through site. Electric only, water hydrants for general use, not to hookup. If water hookups available would give the place a 10. Park attendants very friendly. There is a park entrance fee along with the camping fee. The bathrooms and showers were immaculate, large and very nice. Just a great place to stay. Good hiking trails right from the campground. When ever in South Dakota hard to beat their State Park campgrounds.
This is a great park. Nice back in spots, with a few pull throughs. Good gravel, pretty level. Large private spots with trees and brush between spots. They must spray because bugs were not a problem, and in July in MN that is saying something. Lots to do with bike trails, hiking trails, a championship golf course, and a wave pool nearby. Make sure you heed the in by 10:30, or you will be locked out by automatic security gates. A card is available with a deposit if you are going to be later.
Nice folks in office. Spots are long pull throughs, but the water and electric are both on the far end, so you need extra long hose and electric cord. I wasn't going to unhook my tow vehicle, but in order to get the trailer hooked up I had to. Sites need some leveling work, and were pretty uneven. Bathrooms some of the nicest we saw on our trip. They have a newer section of park that has cement pads, little more money, but would stay in that section if ever that way again.
Nice park, nice helpful folks in the office. Spots are pretty tight with the pull through that was not really a pull through as there were many truck from pipeline workers parked making the exit from the spot impossible.
Big pull through sites, gravel relatively level. Clean restrooms, older but clean. Very nice attendants in store. Watch for noise, however, park is located between I-40 and mainline BNSF RR tracks. If light sleeper could be problems.
This park is a great place to visit. It is clean, the bathrooms were spotless, and the views magnificent. It is easy to maneuver with back in and pull through spaces. Great hiking and nature trails for all levels of expertise. One drawback, make sure you bring enough supplies as there is nothing close if you forget something. A great park, been there twice and loved it both times.
The pull through spaces are tight, with no tables or fire pits. The staff is friendly and helpful. I did not use the indoor pool or showers. Problems that occurred with infrastructure were resolved with a refund of one night's fees. These folks work to keep up a good park, and if in the area would stay here again.
Clean, neat, quiet park. The bathrooms were the cleanest I have seen in all my travels. Beautiful setting, the only detractor (I am not sure it really was a detractor) was the daytime noise from the cicadas. They promptly stopped at dusk. A really nice place and a good stay. Make sure you have a reservation, as the park was full every night.
Small pull through that had such a short turn to leave we had to back out. Wi-Fi was promised, however it did not work on our site, we had to go to the clubhouse to use it. The RV sites are back from the river, the tent sites are on the river. The views are great with the springs coming out of the cliffs across the river. Don't forget your bug spray. Probably would try another area park if back in the area.
Great place to stay, clean level pull through spots, many with trees and shade. Quite park, with friendly staff, ice cream social ($). Lots to see and do around town and if you ride OHV you can leave right from park for many trails. Have nothing but positive feelings and would go back next time through.
