This is a Great Park but the indifferent attitude of some of the work campers in reservations make sure the process is a joke. We witnessed an attack by a young camper on an old man who wasn't bothering anyone. The investigating Park Ranger convinced the old guy not to call the police by scaring his wife into thinking the nutcase that attacked him would seek revenge in the night. The Park also refused to relocate him or refund his money. When we left, a week later the old guy had pulled up and left but the young guy that attacked him was still running around drinking his beer and bragging how he bought himself out of a mess. We will not be back.
We stayed for 2 days at this very nice, RV park on the river. All of the personnel were friendly and helpful. Great place for pets, convenient to shopping, etc. Our "river view" site was large and nice but our river view was blocked by other RV's in the adjacent rows. This was no big deal to us and we will come back here for several more days soon.
Great sites and clean park. Managers are very nice and will gladly help with any requests. Close to RR track and airport noise, but this did not bother us the two separate times we stayed here on our recent trip. Would stay again!
We tried to stay here, but the sites offered were too small to let us keep our truck and 21' trailer hooked for the night. There were several larger sites still empty at 5:30 PM but the manager told us the larger sites were held back in case a larger RV showed up and needed the extra room. Don't understand this logic since all sites were the same price and we were here. Lots of full time park residents at this park. Just one big dusty gravel park. We asked for our money back and went to the KOA park just a block down the road. Excellent decision on our part.
This was a great place to stay for our 2 day visit. The amenities of the sites aren't the real reason to visit this park on the South Rim, however, the location was ideal for us. We had no complaints, and we would gladly stay here again.
