So we checked in here, hoping to stay for a month. We were escorted to our site and we started to set up. We have a surge protector so we plugged that in first, only to find there was a wasps nest in the electrical box. We carefully plugged in and waited for the surge protector to give us power. But instead of releasing the power (it's on a delay as it determines if the electric is ok) it told us that the polarities were reversed! They are wired backwards. We contacted the dealership where we purchased our rv and asked them what would happen if we plugged in anyway, they said it could wreck our appliances, shock us or destroy the electric. After trying several more sites and getting the same response from the surge protector, we decided to leave. Be very careful if you stay here.
This park is not as it claims. They are on the river, but the only spots by the river are permanent spots. It is noisy! Planes, trains, boats, cars etc. These old women are in the pool making a ton of noise rain or shine, no matter the temperature. This is not country living in the city, this is city living! It is not safe at all. Crazy drivers out on the road passing by, one crashed into a transformer, homeless people frequently wander through here it is scary. I say think twice
We intended to stay only a few days, and we wish we had. The bathrooms are mostly clean but very small. Water drips from the shower. This place has mainly long term, very old trailers, lots of cats running around and is very noisy. The people are nice but hard to get a hold of. Too much traffic noise. Fine for overnight. We got a decent spot but there aren't many that are big enough.
We made reservations ahead of time, and planned to stay for two days. But when we arrived it was very muddy, had very poor water pressure, dirty bathrooms and a bunch of black rabbits running around everywhere. I love rabbits, but the dogs there were chasing them and barking like crazy. The people are very nice and friendly, but the place needs some serious updating. Oh, and this hot tub, is one someone might have at their house. It fits maybe 4 people and it wasn't open, nor was the pool.
The people are very nice, though a bit understaffed. The bathrooms leave something to be desired, but the views are beautiful. We had a space by the bathroom and dumpster, but all I smelled was pine needles. Beware the back in sites, they are very small and at the back of the park.
Make sure you have your shots before coming here! This place is dirty, it smells, it's small...not great. We stayed here for one night and it was one night too many. It is right next door to a truck stop, so it's noisy and dirty. One shower and toilet for men and one for women. The bathroom smells really bad, it is nothing but concrete floors and walls and a heavy wooden door with a rusted metal lock. The lock to the stall sticks and ended up tearing up my thumb. I am just glad I have had my tetanus shot. The Internet is decent but slow, though it blinks out at times. Not a real great place to stay. The woman at the office is friendly, but does not clean the bathrooms.
We stayed here for 5 days. There is train tracks just about right on top of the sites, with trains (freight and commuter) running through here all the time. The rules are not enforced in any way. The bathrooms were mostly clean until the weekend when it got more full then they were a mess and plugged up. Once more people arrived, the Internet no longer worked. They do have cable, but very few channels and not a very clear picture. The owners reside on-site, but do nothing except sit in the office, ignoring everyone. Fine for a few days during the week, but nothing else.
