After a stint in a few Alabama State parks, we very pleased with this park. The sites were had great separation and views of the lake were great from our site. Very clean grounds. The bathrooms were very dated and not clean. No problem for us as we use ours. Nice trails and very helpful camp hosts. If you are staying more than 2 nights, consider annual family pass as it includes 2 free nights camping for $75. Pays for itself if you go to more than 2 parks in a year.
The park was hit by a tornado and most of the lake front spaces were not available. The spaces are very tight. In our opinion the spaces are too tight for the area. It was loud with people playing music. I would not come back. We only stayed one night. The camp host and park staff was very helpful on a matter we had with the sewer.
