We enjoyed staying here with full hookups. ($21 per night is Passport America rate including tax.) Even though they request 48-hr. notice, we were still able to get the PA rate for 3 nights, but didn't realize that we would need to pay cash. Entire campground is crushed volcanic rock with a few trees that provide minimal shade. Campground is clean. Some road noise because it's close to I-40 and an occasional faint train whistle. It was easy to get into our site. This was a great stopover in order to take the Grand Canyon Railway as a day trip. We had a great time on the train--well worth it! The nearby town of Williams is on historic Route 66 and offers lots of fun, good places to eat--some with a little nostalgia. Staged Old West gunfights when we were here in the summer. There is a Safeway grocery store in town, too. For the price, this was a great park for us.

We have loved staying at this beautiful, well-kept state park nestled against the mystical Superstition Mountains. We have really enjoyed hiking the many trails here. Park rangers are very friendly and helpful. Park recently got electric power with water sites: rates are $25. There are still tent and boondocking sites for $15. We'll be back!

Small but great RV park because it is so close to Yosemite National Park's west entrance. (Because we couldn't maneuver our 32-foot fifth wheel into any site in Yosemite, the rangers recommended this RV park as we were in a pinch.) We called the RV park late in the day, and there was one site left that we could fit into. Even though the rates are a little pricey, it turned out to be a godsend and a great close "home base" for day trips to Yosemite. The manager of the RV park is very nice and helpful. Sites are gravel and can accommodate various sizes of RVs. We had full hookups first night, then water & 30-amp electric the next few nights, which worked well for us. No cell phone coverage at the RV park itself, but good coverage and Internet service in Yosemite Valley.

Clean park, reliable hookups in our pull-through site. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Small but nice laundromat. Our Verizon cellphones and Internet card worked great here. Loved this park as a great home base for day visits to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National parks. With our 32-ft. fifth wheel, we would not have been able to navigate the roads in either of those national parks. We were able to use our Good Sam discount. We would stay here again.
