Great park which I think is overpriced but, when compared to other parks in the "KEYS", it's a good deal. Clean, well maintained and managed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Park is all gravel except for a small "beach" (not) area for horseshoes. Small Tiki bar on concrete pad next to fish cleaning station. Not appealing for evening cocktails while fish are being cleaned. It was great for morning coffee except for fish carcasses floating around. Boat docking in protected area from Gulf of Mexico bay. No access to water except for small pool which was always full of kids having a great time. We loved watching and hearing the kids having fun but missed some adult time in the pool. We would stay here again if in the area. Rate reflects one week stay.
Clean park, very friendly staff, marina, over priced restaurant, nice pool and hot tub, small beach area (with a few dead fish), lots of ants, everywhere. We would stay here again if passing through the area. Oh, the grass is coming back (mostly sticker weeds) after the Great Texas Drought of 2011. I think it is under new ownership or management because it is now a KOA.
We called from the road and were told the passport rate was $20, but they added $5 for 50 amp service. We have a 42 foot motorhome and wanted to park without unhooking our truck and they said no problem. Roads and turns put me in the trees and bushes, hit a picnic table trying to get into my site while the host sat in her golf cart and watched. It's looks like a nice park, but it is definitely not a big rig campground. If you are driving or pulling anything over 35 foot, I would look elsewhere.
Stopped for the night. Entrance was scary and we should have left. Total mud hole but the owners were not in charge of the weather. Woke to 14" of snow and I-40 closed. Wi-Fi worked about 30 minutes in the morning and then gone. We would not stay here again.
A very nice park in the Las Vegas area. We stayed here for one month starting on March 17, 2009. Rate was $707.00 for the month including utilities. This is a "condo" park. Sites are owned or for sale and you rent the site from the owner through the parks rental office. The park is clean, quite and some sites have beautiful views of Lake Mead. The only negative I have with this park is the Wi-Fi. It is available at no charge but it is slower than my dial-up use to be, if you can get on. If having internet access is important to you, you may want to move down the road.
New Park - Phase 1 almost finished, Phase 2 with 50 to 75 additional sites in the works. Cabins, 7 or 8 available located in Phase 1 with lots of shade. Owners working very hard to finish phase 2 and landscape all of park. Watch this one, going to be a great park.
A very nice campground which needs some attention to details. The staff were fantastic but are handicapped by the owner's failure to support the park. Two small to medium dumpsters which constantly overflowed, hot tub which did not get turned on until guest complained, heated pool which isn't, WiFi which seldom works unless you go to the office, very narrow roads which are not friendly to larger rigs getting in and out of sites. Overall, a nice park, where we would stay again, however, it would be nice if the advertised amenities were provided.
