We stayed four nights. The sites were semi-level. The interior roads were very bumpy with potholes. The campground and restaurant share the bathroom/shower. The restaurant has tour busses which use the bathroom, leaving it crowded and dirty. It was not cleaned the entire time we were there, as proved by the debris in the same places each day.
We stayed three nights. The sites were level, but the entry was very steep with loose gravel. The showers were clean, but it was a long walk from the site. The Wi-Fi only sometimes worked. The campground was very pretty with the train passing through it, but a little on the expensive side.
We stayed 2 nights. The cost was $16.00 for Passport America members. The management was not on site. We had to pick our own campsite. There was no one around to assist or answer questions. Sites were dirt and a bit muddy, but mostly level. The showers were clean but a little small.
We stayed two nights. There was a bit of road noise, but not enough to be of major concern. The restrooms were spotless and large. The sights were level. The management was very friendly and helpful. For the train buffs: Pop has large model trains in the main office and in front of the office. He welcomes everyone to enjoy his trains.
We spent 5 nights. Cost was $13.00 for Passport America members. This is a very old park single-handedly undergoing renovation by one man, Bob. He deserves credit! The park is shaded, with pull-throughs and very good power. Bob is extremely friendly and goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcome. The only drawback is the 50's era bathroom, of which there is only one due to a water line break. Although the bathroom is very small, it is always clean. We would highly recommend this park.
We were in lot 19, which is closest to the interstate, but the road noise was not loud enough to boher us. The bathroom is not the greatest, but we've seen worse. The owners are very friendly and most helpful if you have questions or any problems. You can walk through the petrified rock garden and pick out the one you want for a very reasonable price. What we liked most were the chickens and rooster who roam freely throughout the park. You can even buy fresh eggs. This place is so quaint, it's cute! We stayed here three nights.
