I made reservations for this campground at nearly the last minute (one day prior) via the internet. I promptly received an email the following morning to notify me there were no 50 amp sites available, would I accept a 30 amp? I was pleased by this communication. I arrived after hours, and as promised my information was posted with excellent directions. The site was level with a concrete pad and picnic table. The hook ups were about 21 feet from the hookups on my rig, but I was prepared. I was amazed at how quiet this place was! At eight in the evening, there was not a soul outside! The ladies at the front desk were courteous and helpful, and the gift shop was huge. In this area, the campground didn't seem to be the destination for the campers rather the city was. It was odd, but extremely peaceful.
I stayed here two weekends in a row as part of two shakedown trips in my new rig. The first time, I had a very wooded shady spot with a gravel pad, dirt yard or patio, a picnic table and no fire ring. The branches from the trees were pretty low, however the new owner came to my site before I even contacted him to trim the trees. He was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The site was level and roomy, cable perfect, however no wifi at this spot. The second weekend, I had site S604, clearly the best site in the place. It was wonderful. No campers on our "front" side, just a big beautiful tree and a yard. The patio was sealed concrete with a wrought iron table and 4 chairs, fire pit, and a grill. The cable was snowy, and the Wi-Fi wasn't strong enough to pick up. I could have stayed for a week easily!
