This is a great campground for seasonal camping. Lots of sites with improvements like porches, sheds and multiple golf carts. The moon rising up over the mountain reflected in the lake was beautiful. The showers needed updating -- they were pull chain to operate and the rubber mats could have benefited from a a bleaching. The camp owner was hot and cold; this might make some feel unwelcome. Looked like a good place to camp with a boat.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! We loved everything about our stay here from the Lobster Bake to the spacious sites with a variety of styles from meadow to bay to forest. Friendly staff. Kayak rentals. Farm animals you can visit!! The doors to the main restrooms should be shut. It lets in a ton of bugs in the toilet and shower areas. Near the sites are only pit toilets: which might be a turn off for some.
The sites at this park are very spacious and well groomed. The park isn't too far off the PA Turnpike--maybe 15 minutes driving. Quiet at night. Nice looking pool. The bathhouse could use some updating -- the ceiling especially, rusted shower handle, and the half destroyed no smoking sign for examples. But it was obviously cleaned regularly. We would certainly stay here again.
This campground offered great amenities and activities; we enjoyed the dance with Santa a lot. A lot of seasonals that really seem to love their campsites. Nice wide sites, good location. The bathrooms could have been a bit better--lots of bugs and the showers didn't look great.
We loved how clean and well kept this campground was. We stayed for two nights while visiting a friend. They offered great kids activities: pool, mini golf, crafts, etc. The bathrooms were very clean though a negative was the timed shower that operated like a bathroom sink where you push the button to get an allotted amount of water. Button was tough to push and only offered a minute or two of water--no temperature control either. The biggest issue we had with this campground was the total lack of shade; kind of like camping in a parking lot. During the July heat wave, this was very unpleasant and we felt like we couldn't possibly just hang out and enjoy our campsite. It was however a really lovely place and in the right weather or with a great awning on your RV it would be fine.
We spent a week here and enjoyed it very much. The park was friendly and clean. We enjoyed the pool. The restrooms were always clean, though I would have loved to see them replace the wooden handles on the bathroom sinks (I can't imagine wet wood is easy to clean and keep germ free). Great laundry room and very helpful staff. When the dryer ate our quarters, they came down immediately and refunded our money and then fixed it (the dryer was unplugged). We use this campground as a benchmark to measure others.
