Easy. Spacious. Service-friendly. The Park is a short drive from I-10 with a large entrance. The sites are easy to get to and are spacious. The managers are ready with answers to questions and suggestions about the services and sights in Hill Country. Services (propane delivery, repair, rig-weighing, lube, washing) are available along with camp dinners and celebrations. We were here for a month and will return.

The Park managers are very helpful and friendly, and anticipate their guests’ needs. He is very visible around the grounds and always available for assistance, questions, or conversation. We could not have asked more of them. They organized a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner for all guests. The park offers easy access, just off I-10. The campsites offer sufficient space on gravel sites with paved driveways. We spend little time in a campground, preferring to travel the area, and this park is centrally-located for tours, music, and restaurants in the Lafayette/Arcadian area. We stayed one month and will be back next winter for three months.

There is easy entrance from highway and access to sites with adequate space. The staff is helpful. We camped here for seven weeks and spent our days traveling to jam sessions and food festivals in the area. This was a good central location for seeing attractions along the Crooked Road and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

We originally planned to stay here 8 days and extended it twice for a total of 13 days. There is plenty of open space, and easy assess to the site. There is a very helpful, friendly staff. It is a short distance to Memphis for barbecue lunches and then a return for a relaxing evening watching the barges and towboats on the Mississippi. There were clean restrooms, and a free laundry. It is quiet with an adult focus. We loved the campground and are already planning a return visit.

A clean campground with sufficient space at our site. For those who want easy assess to the Pigeon Forge-Gatlinburg shows and attractions, the campground would warrant a 9 or 10. For those who want to spend more time in the Smokies and the smaller town in the area, the traffic on the main north-south drive can be frustrating. Since we are in the second group, we would have been happier in a less busy location. That being said, we stayed here for four weeks and were pleased with the site, the staff, and the facilities.

There may be campground managers as friendly, helpful, and dedicated to maintaining a clean, welcoming home as these owners do, but we cannot imagine managers possessing more of these qualities. The gravel sites have sufficient room and the landscaping around the sites provide shade, beauty, and a sense of personal space. The campground was small enough that the owners knew everyone by name and large enough that we were able to meet several people from different parts of the country. Their staff members are constantly on the move guiding people into sites, checking in with their “family” virtually every day, sweeping the driveways, maintaining the grounds, and emptying the ashes from the previous night’s grilling at any site. The communal bathrooms were immaculate – even the chrome shone. Our Verizon air card worked very well; hook-ups were very convenient. The camp store had a good number of food items and RV supplies (we found some light bulbs). Rocky Top is centrally located for trips to the Tri-Cities, Bays Mountain, Gray Fossil Site, Rocky Mountain, jam sessions, historic towns, and some fine barbecue restaurants. We stayed here for one month and will eagerly return.
