I agree with the previous post. We were there a year ago and returned this year. When we got there the place was a mess. Hole in the office roof covered by a tarp, shingles still laying on the ground. What used to be the pool was now just a mud pit. The Wi-FI did not work. In the 2 weeks we were there, the men's room/shower was never cleaned as demonstrated by the same debris on the floor that was there on our first day still being there 2 weeks later. The interior walls and floor were covered with black mold. The office would not honor Passport America. The place has really gone downhill . Only positive is location in the valley on a nice creek
Basically a clear field with sand/weedy uneven sites. No shade. No picnic tables and no fire pits. Lots of ants. Electric was fine, voltage always in acceptable range. Cable TV worked OK. Did not use the rest rooms as there was only one rest room building for the CG and it was probably a 1/4 mile from where they parked us.
We arrived about 30 minutes before check-in time and were told to leave the property even though there were ample empty spaces. I asked the attendant if she could check to see if my site was available. She said that would cost me and extra $10 for her to check. I refused to pay and she told me to leave and come back in 20 minutes. This campground is on a 2 lane road. We had to drive several miles to find a safe spot to wait. When we returned , they put us in a spot in a field that was very wet and muddy. The person who escorted us to the "site" said to make sure I put down several boards under the levelers as they would sink into the mud. Overall a very bad experience.
Very nice campground. Pull thru site(#16) we had was huge. Room for the MH,toad and at least an extra 30 feet. Bathroom/showeres were modern and very clean. It is a long walk to the river, over 1/2 mile so carrying a canoe or kayak would be a challenge. Voltage was great at 120 v during our stay, but there were only a few other RV's there.
We camped here over the 4th of July and attended the Pepsi 400 at nearby Daytona Beach. This campground was in very poor condition. The grass hadn't been mowed is some time, there were ruts in the grass. No pads/gravel for the motorhomes. The voltage was constantly low, just a bit over 100V the entire weekend. The restrooms were a disaster. The picnic table at our site was rotted away and not usable. All of this for only $93/night - 3 x their normal rate due to it being race weekend. We will not stay here again.
