This park is beautifully situated on the banks of the Wenatchee River, has great amenities and the Wi-Fi works really well! Extremely friendly and helpful staff here. Enjoyed one of the large, deluxe sites as it was all that was available for the night. We loved this campground and will definitely stay here again; even thought it's a little pricey.
If you like rules, regulations and constant 'monitoring' by over-zealous owners, then this is the place for you - not me though. I would never return to this CG - even if it were free. As soon as we drove in, we were astounded to see all of the 'don't do this', 'you will be prosecuted under the criminal code', 'if caught, you will be charged', '$5 fine for pet waste' etc. etc. signs posted everywhere. It is quite common to see either one of the husband/wife owners berating guests for violating one minor/arbitrary rule or another. And, if you want to take a shower - that will be .25 cents for each 2 minutes! The Wi-Fi is inconsistent and drops out frequently. The park is clean enough and well maintained but the sites are impossibly narrow - our picnic table was right over our neighbors sewer. We stayed for 5 nights and couldn't wait to leave and get to a campground where the owners treated us as guests and not as potential enemies to be watched constantly for any minor infraction of their precious 'rules and regulations'. The Swiss owners of this place have, apparently, owned it for only a few years now. I can't see this CG being successful for long unless the attitude towards guests changes dramatically - and soon.
This is another one of those parks that advertises Free Wi-Fi available. The only problem is it only works near the office or swimming pool. As we were staying at the back of the park, this was pretty useless for us. The park was OK, a bit old, but good enough to overnight in if the Wi-Fi worked. But, without Wi-Fi, I would not return here.
A nice, clean, well kept park. Ideal location for overtightened off of I-5. We found the office staff to be very friendly. The Wi-Fi worked extremely well at our location better than most places. The washrooms and showers were as clean and well maintained as we've ever seen at any park. Would definitely overnight here again.
This is a great RV Park. The backins had lots of room to maneuver. It's very close to all of the attractions in the Sedona area. The park is very clean and well maintained. It's also very quiet and is sheltered from the wind if it happens to blow. The Wi-Fi reception at our site was perfect. We would definitely recommend Rancho Sedona and definitely stay here again.
Of the RV Parks we saw in the area of Williams, this KOA was the nicest. Lots of trees, and. lots for kids to do. Very clean as well. Also, very quiet at night. We were told that this KOA had cable TV and Wi-Fi at every site. There was no cable TV. The Wi-Fi operation was very poor. During the morning and evening hours it was virtually unusable. Would I stay here again? Wi-Fi kills it for me. I like the park, but I refuse to return to RV Parks that advertise Wi-Fi and then don't deliver a product that works. So, I would probably give it a no. But, if Wi-Fi isn't important for you, then this is a terrific place to stay.
A very nice, scenic park, and everything was very clean and well maintained. We stayed on the grassy sites away from the river and found they were a bit too close for comfort. The way the hookups are arranged, you park your rigs facing in opposite directions so that when you open your rv door, you are facing the adjacent site's rv door - no less than 10' feet away - forget about awnings. The park has nice walks along the river, a little beach and a great, fenced dog park. My big complaint though is the wifi system. It is operated by a private company, you pay for it, and it just didn't work! We always got a very strong signal(excellent) but could not access the internet at all. It seemed there was very limited bandwith available unless you tried in the middle of the night. Very frustrating. A nice park, but I wouldn't consider staying here again unless they fixed the wifi problem. I've had it with parks that advertise wifi and don't deliver.
We loved this RV Park! We were originally booked in for 2 weeks and extended our stay to 2 months(Feb. & Mar. 2008). The park is nicely landscaped with lots of palm trees, plants and places to walk dogs. It has a great swimming pool/spa and recreation complex, too. The 9 hole golf course is very nice and reasonably priced. It is a very quiet park as it is well off I-10, yet it is only a 10 minute drive into Palm Springs. The park has free Wi-Fi at all sites, and cable TV is available. All the streets are paved, and the sites are gravel and fairly level. Tall shrubs separate most of the sites so there is some privacy. We found the sites to be quite normal in size and never felt we were crowded at all. We have already booked for another 2 month stay in early 2009.
We cancelled our 2 week reservation and left this park after spending just 1 hour there. It was the biggest disappointment of our winter trip(Jan-Mar/2008). We had heard a lot of great things about Canyon Vistas, but when we arrived we were escorted to a site, near the entrance, that was simply as barren as the desert surrounding the park. Not a tree in sight, just gravel, gravel and more gravel - it reminded me of Quartzsite. We were so far from the clubhouse and facilities that it was practically impossible to walk there. We asked the folks beside us and they said they always drove to the pool, showers and clubhouse! The park was supposed to have free wifi service - not true! Where we were located, there was no wifi reception at all. My wife and I both decided we didn't even want to spend one night at Canyon Vistas, so we got our money back, unhooked and left after just one hour. Obviously, we will not be returning.
This is a very nice, clean RV park. It is all RV'ers, no park models, and everyone was very, very friendly. There are a lot of regulars who return to the park year after year. The facilities were spotless. RV's are parked on level, concrete pads with gravel areas between the sites. There are no trees at all so there is not much in the way of privacy between any of the sites - it's pretty much concrete and gravel! There is a very nice, heated swimming pool - but, no hot tub. My only complaint about the park was their wifi reception - it was plain lousy! It only worked in the clubhouse or the office. I was upset about this as I had been told that wifi was available throughout the park - not true. Apparently, it has always been like this and they do not appear to have any any plans to change it. We had a 2 week reservation and stay here, if we were only staying a night, the wifi issue would not have been a big deal. However, simply because of the wifi situation, we would not stay here again.
This is an absolutely beautiful RV Park. The sites are large, level and the whole park is nicely landscaped and clean as a whistle! It is one of the nicest RV Parks we have ever stayed in. It offers free cable tv and the free wifi worked absolutely flawlessly. There are ample grassy fields down by the river for picnics, barbeques or just walking around. It even has a boat launch if you happen to have a boat and want to explore the Sacramento River. We stayed here for one night on our way home from two months in Arizona/California, but we would gladly have stayed a bit longer if we had the time. We will definitely return here. This park is a 10 by our rating.
A very nice RV park, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only drawback was no cable, but with our tv antenna we were able to get good reception on ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX stations. The wifi was exceptionally fast and dependable. Our site gave us lots of room for our fifth-wheel and truck. We stayed there for a week and would definitely return.
A real dump! Just an open field with rutted dirt roads to the sites. When we arrived at 2:30pm, our sewer hook-up was overflowing - along with three neighbours. The owners promised to have it fixed right away but it wasn't until 11:30am the next morning, and several complaints, that he finally got around to fixing it. The other problems with this RV Park are too numerous to mention - just avoid it if possible!
