It is another basic park with a gravel lot, 30 amp power, water, a few sites with sewer, and a dump station. It does have a nearby playground and is right off the lake. It has good Wi-Fi if connected to the right port. A bit of road noise but not bad.
This is a basic park with no extras except a small playground. It is a gravel lot with some grass between some sites and perimeter in grass. The grass had been mowed when we stopped but the entry into the park is not smooth - a number of potholes. Wi-Fi was very good with adequate power (30 amp) and water. It was fairly quiet in spite of being near the highway. We would stay here again as I am not aware of anything better nearby and it provided what we needed. If looking for more, maybe Dawson Creek should be checked.
This park is in a nice location on Dragon Lake. It is off the road so very quiet. Our site was not oriented to have a view of the lake which would have been much nicer. The park is basically a gravel lot with plenty of grass surrounding it and some grass between rows of RVs. The gravel is a bad surface for our dog to walk on but better than grass to park on. The restrooms were individual restroom/shower combinations which is very nice. Laundry facilities were fine but costly - $2 to wash and $4 to dry each batch of clothes. The park does have gates to keep out the non-guests. Although the lake is very nice, the shore line was littered in goose dropping. If your desire is to boat or fish, this would be a good place to stay. We would stay here again.
After reading comments on this park, I was leery of staying here. It is OK for an overnight stop. Sits are narrow with enough room for slides but cramped for doing BBQ. Power and water were adequate and cable was nice since the trees blocked our satellite reception. The park is near the highway but road noise was not a problem at night. It looked like most of the sites were occupied with longer term people. The park was clean but rustic. The bathrooms were clean but could use better lighting. It did rain a while and did not puddle up. We would probably look for another place if in the area again but would be willing to stay here if other options did not work out.
This was a real surprise to us. Trailer Life does not rate this park high enough. It is in a fantastic location. We had a fantastic view of the lake. It is well maintained and clean. Our site was on grass so we put our wood blocks down to level our motorhome. The bathroom was clean but had poor lighting. The biggest negative is the road noise, but it did reduce a lot at night. The second negative is the lack of walking space for our dog; it is very limited. If you fish or boat, it is a great place to stop. We would stay here again.
This is a nice park. Well maintained with plenty of grsssy areas. Fairly wide spaces. Restrooms were clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful, allowing me to use their phone when our cellphone was dead. Has a walking trail nearby. Did not have a laundry. It has everything I need except the laundry. Excellent wifi. Has speed bumps which I do not like. It is also near the lumber mill which is somewhat noisy, but was not so bad we could not sleep. I would definitely stay here again.
This is the 4th park we tried for the night, for a variety of reasons. It is very functional but primarily all paved with strips of grass and newer trees. Hard surface is great for leveling and walking about. Adequate room for slides and enough room between neighbors. It does have one of the nicest bathrooms we have seen. It does not have a dog walk area inside the park: go out the rear gate and walk along the road which we felt very safe doing (dogs may pick up stickers). The park is located next to a shopping area with grocery store and a Tim Horton's donut shop. It was pretty quiet: much appreciated after 3 nights with little sleep. We would not hesitate to stay here again if our other choices were not available. It is a good stop.
This is an acceptable park for a short stay. It has enough of everything necessary for a decent park, was well-maintained, and clean. It has a good walking path to exercise yourself and your pet. It does not have any real negatives from my perspective but also has no real outstanding features either. We would stay here again.
We like this park a lot. I would give it a 9 if it were not for the road noise, and a 10 if it had Wi-Fi. Park is spread out, well-maintained, clean, lots of grass, river access. Restrooms were very good, especially for a public park. Because of road noise, we will look for another option next time we are in the area. For those who are not bothered by road noise, this is an excellent stop for several days.
We have stayed at this park several times and enjoyed it each time. It is on the Columbia River and close to a marina and park. The park does have a protected swimming beach which makes up for the lack of a pool. The park has a lot of grass area and mature trees. There is plenty of space between sites. It is pet friendly with a good walking trail. No dog run. Bathrooms are relatively clean and maintained. We would definitely stay here again.
This is a nice basic park. We have stayed here several times as it is the last decent park on our way home. We really like the garden where you can pick your own vegetables for dinner. No pool or cable TV but we can live nicely without them. Good restrooms and laundry. Some sites are not very level. Pet friendly and space to walk your dog. No dog run. Some trees that provide some shade. This last visit, we had road noise that we did not remember from previous visits, which may be due to the completion of road construction on this stretch.
This is our second stay here. This is the only place to stay in Riverton if you want full hookups. The park seems to be going downhill, as the grass has now turned to weeds. Hookups are side-by-side so you are close to your neighbors. Access was easy. It is pet friendly but they do not have any place to walk your pet except over the gravel or out by the roadway. Bathrooms are nice but nothing special. I would not stay here again if I could find a better place to stay, which might mean going to Dubois or Thermopolois.
This park is a little better than many KOAs in Wyoming. It is basically a gravel parking lot with some grass and small trees. Getting into our site was easy. The pool was nice. It is pretty quiet as it is away from the interstate but has reasonable access to it. Leaving the park going north, you will encounter a 12 ft overpass to get to the interstate, so we went south to access the interstate. They do have a nice dog run area large enough for a dog to actually run, and it is grass rather than weeds. It does have a couple of speed bumps going into the park that need to be taken slowly. I would stay here again if in the area.
The park was a little hard to find when coming in from the south. Signs are at the north entrance. Entrance roads have water drainage dips that need to be navigated slowly to prevent too much upset in your RV. First obvious aspect of the park is it has a lot of space, measured in acres of open area. Plenty of grass and trees. Plenty of space to walk your dog. Great swimming pool. Nice laundry facility and restrooms, both maintained well. Access to restrooms are good for some and poor for others due to spread out locations. This park is the place to stay if price is excluded, as it was the most expensive park we visited this year.
Nice park. Plenty of trees and grass. Sites large enough for larger RVs. Quiet but reasonably close to highways. Had ice cream social at night with large scoops, too much for our grandchildren to eat. Nice pool but water was cool. Staff was friendly. Had a nice walking path for your dog. Pricey compared to other places we stay.
We stayed here as it is close to the Wyoming Dinosaur Center (highly recommended), our second visit. The sites are too small for large motorhomes. The site is wide enough but just barely. We stuck out about 6 feet on the front and back of our 34 ft. motorhome. This seems to be OK as the road is wide enough to allow this condition. Good gravel road and sites. Little grass available. Game equipment is provided for badmitton and horseshoes and a playground is available. Pet friendly but you either climb a hill over a road full of weeds or you go out to the front along the roadway to walk your dog. The laundry facility is inadequate with slow dryers and too few dryers. In the evening, the laundry filled with bugs attracted to the lights. Fair amount of road noise on this trip. For amenities provided, we believe this park is overpriced. We would look for another location if we return to Thermopolis.
We were pleased with this park. It was quiet even though not to far from the freeway. Our grandchildren enjoyed the playground and pool, both were nice. Nice laundry facility. Gravel roads and sites. Plenty of trees but not totally covered for those with satellite. I thought it was a little pricey compared to other parks we stay at.
We have stayed at this park several times. It is a very nice park with lots of grass and trees, and right on the Columbia River. The last two times we have stayed here we have had trouble sleeping due to road noise. It seems to be getting worse with each stay. Staff is friendly and helpful: got us sited just right. The swimming pool is small and more for cooling off than swimming. Plenty of room to walk your dog with a number of places with doggie bag supplies. Nice laundry.
We have stayed here several times and like this park. It will be very nice when the trees are mature. They have cement pads and a paved roadway. Watch out for the plovers as they are frequently around with their nests which are on the ground. This last visit we were given a spot that would allow us easy access to leave. The problem with this spot, and several others, is they have a significant drop off in front which prevented us from taking that easy access out. I would ask for another spot if shown to one of these in the future. The reason for the problem is they are expanding the park. I would stay here again.
The first thing we noticed entering the park were a couple of killer speed bumps. I believe they are totally unnecessary but it is not my park. Park had a nice pool but the water was cold. Quiet at night and during the day. Adequate space between sites, some grass, plenty of shade, playground. Pet friendly but you have to walk your dog outside of the park along the road.
This is a good basic RV park, the kind I like. It has an uneven entry which is hard for motorhomes without a lot of shake. The site was a grass pad that was a little uneven. The overall grounds were well maintained as were the restrooms. Bunnies were around at evening. Trees provided shade for many sites but the row for the more transient RVers had few trees. They do not allow use of electrical adapters, so if you are a 50-amp rig, you need a 50-amp site. It was well controlled so minimal noise other than road noise. Felt very safe. Staff was very nice and friendly and apparently loves dogs.
We were very disappointed in this KOA. It was very noisy due to interstate traffic, making sleeping difficult unless the A/C is running. The sewer connections at the site were not close enough to use so we used the dump station when leaving. The directions to get to the park are OK, but there is no sign to indicate where to turn when coming from the interstate. The price is very high for what is provided. It did have the best dog run area we have seen, which was actually big enough for a dog to run around.
This is the best value campground we have ever stayed at. It has all the amenities you could want. It is 2 yrs. old so plantings are immature, which makes it rather hot in the summer sun. Otherwise, it is a great park. I would absolutely stay here again when going through the area.
