Nice campground with spacious sites facing a small pond. Seasonal sites are in a different part of the campground. The lakeside sites are set up with alternating side-by-side hookups. A 50 amp with a 30 amp next to it. So if the 30 amp is a TT or 5th wheel, everyone should have a view of the water, but the 50 amp they gave us had us facing the woods. Too bad because we had to sit outside to enjoy the lake view. Get the WiFi code before you set up because they will not give it to you on the phone. You have to go to the office and sign a paper to get it. Thought that was odd. The drive in to the campground is a little unnerving because the last couple of miles is a very narrow road with a deep ditch on each side. We were lucky and never met any oncoming traffic when we were in the motorhome. Get your groceries and such before coming to the park, it's a bit of a drive to the nearest store. We appreciated that this park is inland and in the event of a storm, we wouldn't have the worry of trying to evacuate from the Outer Banks. Price reflects 3 nights at Passport discount and 1 night at Good Sam discount.
We stayed here with a group and the price may reflect a group discount. Park was clean, sites were a little tight for a 40' MH but doable. Our living room slide was at least 6" into the side of a bush, but the bush didn't scratch it. Pine trees dropped a lot of pine pitch on our roof. Other than that, it was an enjoyable park. They have a nice office and store with a good selection of gifts and decorative items. The pool and water slide are big attractions for the kids. They sell discount tickets in the office for local attractions. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed because it was convenient to I-81. Campground was hilly and had tight turns, especially for a 40' motorhome. We had to unhitch in order to make the tight corners. Very steep roads leading to the terraced sites. Narrow sites with a picnic table built on a platform, stairs leading up to the table. Nice office help, and they do escort you to your site. Overpriced but convenient. We would look for something less expensive next time.
This is the 3rd year we have chosen to return to spend our winters at Mission West RV Park. We have found the people to be very friendly and welcoming. The owners are here every day and are working very hard to make this park the best in the Rio Grande Valley. The streets are wide so maneuvering a large RV is no problem, all sites are easy back-ins, with FHUs. The activities list is varied and long, plenty of things to keep you busy all day. They have a par-3 golf course at the park so that is a big plus. We feel lucky to have found this park and plan to return for many more seasons.
Friendly campground in a very interesting small town that offers much to see. We stayed here a week and the surrounding area provided much to see and do. The campground was quiet during the week, but lots of kids and activity on the weekends. Sites were level, roomy enough for a 40' motorhome with tow vehicle. Rate reflects Passport America discount. Great value! We would return if in this area again.
Very nice RV park, well kept and clean. Sites were back-in, roomy, had a concrete patio with a swing, grill, and fire ring. Our site overlooked the lake and was very relaxing and peaceful. Rate reflects a Good Sam discount. We stayed here 10 days and enjoyed it very much.
This park has some of the largest sites in the Rio Grande Valley. For the most part it's a very friendly park, with many activities: golf, pool, hot tub, water aerobics, line dancing, music jams, crafts, bike club, horseshoes, just to name a few. The new owner has improved this park immensely. It's taken on a cleaner look, things are getting fixed and spruced up. We look forward to spending our winter here. The rate is based on a 3-month rental.
Very nice RV park, must be self-contained, no showers or restrooms available. RV dealership next door with large inventory, great RV store, very convenient! Easy access to I-44, close to Joplin, Route 66 historical sites. Nice area, friendly people. We would definitely stay here again.
Wonderful COE park with a beautiful view of the lake. We stayed in the off season and, with America the Beautiful pass, our rate was only $5! Our site was alongside the lake, a drive-through site with a terraced deck which had a picnic table, BBQ grill and a firepit built in. It was quiet and very peaceful. Great view of sunset and sunrise. Would camp here again. Only drawback is the road down to the lakeside sites is a bit narrow for a big rig, but still doable. Great satellite and Verizon reception.
Nice park for an overnight or a week's stay. Quick and easy on/off Interstate. Owner escorts you to the site. Level sites, no sign of rocks placed on edge of road as stated by a previous poster. Must have been removed to give easier access. Good WiFi and Cable TV. We would stay here again. Nice clean park.
Stayed here one week and the men room was closed during our entire stay. The sites are hard to distinguish because they are overgrown with weeds and tall grass. Bardstown is a nice, central location but we won't stay here again.
