Antelope Island is a barren rock in the Great Salt Lake. I would imagine that in any other season, this is an amazing place to watch wildlife, and camp in solitude. In the middle of July, this place is hotter than Mars. We pulled in, noted the ONE other RV in the campsite, went to see the visitor center, and pulled out. We could not figure out what we would do for a whole day. The heat was blinding, and without any hookups, and with the showers over in the day use area, we didn't want to get stuck out there with nothing to do in the heat. Note that the campground is exactly as described on the website. The sites have a lot of room, and are a good distance from one another. The sunsets are probably spectacular. I would advise going in the spring.

I cannot praise this RV park enough! From my first email, to the day we pulled out, everyone was friendly and helpful. Hebgen Lake is a beautiful and peaceful lake about 7 miles from the town of West Yellowstone. We used this park as a base for our 3 days of visiting Yellowstone National Park. The drive to the park is easy, on great roads, and the West Gate to the park is a good place to start your Yellowstone adventure. The sites and roads are gravel, the view is gorgeous. We fished in the lake, ate all our meals out in the clean air. The park is very quiet, and very nice people stay here. I would make this a destination - not just a stopover. Perfect!

You get exactly what is advertised - this is a campground that has ample room for RVs. Some of the roads had some branches that scratched the sides the RV as we tried to find our campsite in the dark. There are no hookups, but our reservation was well marked on our site even though we arrived after hours. There were a lot of family groups - it seemed that some may have had too many on a site, but it was very friendly. There was some noise way after quiet hours - mainly a radio and conversation. the pull-through spot was easy to get in and out. No view from our site #15 - just very tall reeds on the lake side and the road on the other. Some animal noise in the night. it was just an overnight stop on our way north, so it was fine. I would not stay long here.
