I really liked this park. It was clean and well kept and great for the price. Shopping was close and the management was very nice and helpful with suggesting some good places to eat. My husband worked here in the area for a month and the stay here was very nice. Did not like having to pay the extra for the Wi-Fi, but that is the only complaint.
I stayed here for about a month after my bad experience with another park ACR a few miles away. It is right at the lake so my husband could do some fishing which was great. The sites are very clean and very well kept. The management was very nice thru out the full stay. It is a little far out for close eating or shopping, but if you want peace and quite and great fishing and a clean park, this one will fit the bill.
I stayed here for 3 days and my site was in in the sun totally. No real visual appeal to most of the sites and highway noise was quite loud. I probably would try and find another place to stay if I returned to the area. Staff was polite but did not make up for the general site areas which were not appealing.
I stayed here for about a week while visiting family. Although the park is old, the sites are still kept fairly well. It is very reasonably priced for the area and good access to frwys. Not one of the fanciest parks, but again for 1/2 the price of some others in the area, the age factor did not bother me. The rating is only due to age and lack of facilities. Staff was nice and view of the mountains was great. Very close shopping and only 45 minutes to casinos. I would stay here again.
I stayed here for about 4 weeks while working in the area. The staff was awesome, the grounds were clean and the sites were level. The only complaint that I had, was many of the tree limbs needed some cutting back to clear the rig a little better. Easy access to highway, gas/diesel station on same street and shopping close. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
I stayed here for 6 weeks while working in the area. The management was very nice, park was very clean and I had a nice level space under shade trees. They also sell propane on site and was very helpful with restaurant reviews in the area. I would definitely stay here again.
I stayed here for about 6 weeks while working in the area. Staff was polite and grounds were kept mowed and clean at all times. It is not a fancy park and they have very few amenities or things to do in the park for children. The have a lot of overnight traffic due to location as well as the limited number of RV parks in the Chicago area. The only thing that I did not like, was the highway noise which was quite loud.
Although this park is 10 miles from stores or eating out, I decided to stay here for 5 months while working in this area. At first glance, the park is clean and has a country appeal. Spaces are fairly large. Concrete pads are old and not level but I decided to give it a try. At first management was polite. Note *polite*, not friendly, and note *at first*. Each month they became less polite and hardly ever friendly. The managers do not own the park, just manage it. Manage is a incorrect word use for them. They became rude, snoops, and they discriminate. I moved out after only 3 months here due to the unpleasant atmosphere they created through out the park. The bath houses are non-working and I was told they will not be fixing anytime soon, as "no one" really needs them, you have your own. The washers worked about 1/2 of the time and took your money the other 1/2. They had the pool open for their benefit, not for the RV'ers who paid to be here. So if you are wanting to full time here, do yourself a favor and continue looking. The park could be made nicer, but if those people that manage it are still here, it won't make a difference what improvements are made. STAY CLEAR!
