This is a large campground, but has been a very nice place to stay. The park is in a fantastic location right on Lake Huron and it offers a wide variety of accommodations. The people are very friendly and work hard to make your stay enjoyable. You don't need a lakefront site to enjoy the lake and a view of the bridge. We would love to stay here again!
We had planned to stay here 2 nights but...we ended up staying 15 nights!!! This is a great campground with a wonderful history. It's tucked into the woods on a nice quiet lake with great sunsets. It's about 10 miles away from Highway 31 which is close enough to visit all the area has to offer, but you can get away from it all when you go back to camp. We truly enjoyed all the communities we visited while we were here and hope to come back soon!
Very nice campground with lots of shade & space between the. sites. We made our reservations on short notice so we missed out on one of the FHU sites but the showers were clean. Great paved trail into the charming little town of Alma. We visited on Saturday & were happy to see a Farmers Market with fresh vegetables, eggs, baked goods etc... The town had everything we needed including a coffee shop! We truly hope to be able to visit Alma again & would absolutely stay at Methodist Cove COE.
Nice park in a wonderful valley with very friendly people in the park and the local communities. The sites are on grass but they are wide, level and extremely long. The bathrooms are like you may find at home large private rooms with toilet, sink and shower. We extended our stay from four nights to nine! We absolutely hope to stay here again in the future!
We loved this park & extended our stay from 5 nights to 15!! Great park with extremely long pull-thru FHU sites including cable TV with over 50 channels plus a free local newspaper everyday except Monday. Extremely nice people manage the city owned park! Amazing views of Scotts Bluff National Monument right out your windows & the Visitor Center is only about 5 miles from the park. There are many any other activities in the area. The rate reflects the pay for 5 nights and get 2 free.
We would have never stayed here if we had checked the ratings before making our arrangements. We think this park is just fine for parking overnight, which is all we needed. We use our own facilities when we park so, no reason to pay for what we don't need to use. What do you want for $15 a night - using our Passport America discount?
After a long day on the road we had no luck finding a decent place to stay for the night until we called the Angel Lake RV Park. A very nice couple greeted us & took care of our needs . We were very happy to find such a comfortable place to stay. We didn't use the cable tv but the WiFi was strong and the site was level. We wish we were staying more than one night & would definitely stay here again.
