Overall the park was nice, pretty crowded and we found our site in the middle, overlapped with 3 other camping sites. We weren't fond of this as we didn't know these people, and you had no privacy at all. we tried to switch out, but we were told that we could for 2 days, but would have to move on the 3rd day, so we stayed, next time we will book for an outside campsite. Wi-Fi, depending where you were, not that strong, you will find yourself logging back in lots! We found that the rules weren't really enforced; in fact, I'm not sure the staff members even left the building to do checks. We didn't find the staff to be helpful or very friendly. People with children beware, some vehicles speed like there in the Indy. The park is pretty close to Cannon Beach, so an easy walk of 15 - 20 mins into town depending on where you want to go. We would go back again because we love the area, and the campground is rustic and charming with big tall trees. The one thing I was concerned about was the cleaning of the bathrooms, I ventured to the ladies to shower at just pass 6 am and the young man in there, had a spray bottle in one hand, a rag in the other and was talking on his phone, I seen no evidence of other cleaning rags, so I question whether he had used this rag to clean the toilets?
All I can say about this Rv Resort when you drive in is WOW! Gated community. The grounds are beautiful, the views are amazing our site had a ocean view, it was spectacular, but not easy to enjoy due to the wind. The facilities were top notch, pool was warm, the hot tub big and sauna very nice. Nothing negative here. The shower stalls didn't quite fit the bill, compare to the rest of the club house, but most guess don't use them... I did laundry, but all 3 of my washers would not stop spinning. Even had them unplugged, but it won't unlock for me to pull my clothes out.. We had to get help. The Wi-Fi was very weak. I couldn't get a signal with my mini. My hubby could on his iPad, but only if he sat in one spot in the RV. Everywhere else was dead zone and he had to log in all the time, he was frustrated. The beaches are like no other - miles and miles to walk. We loved it, our dogs loved it... Be careful though, the tide comes in quickly. We almost weren't able to get back around the rocks, and we were quite a ways up the beach.. The lady at the front desk, so nice, really friendly, and so is the Security guard. Always a smile and a wave hello. Unfortunately, you cannot say that about the majority of the people there, 75 of the owners are full time. They have their groups...we felt like we were constantly being summed up and watched. It was a little uncomfortable. Would we go back? Because of the park itself, close to towns, great shopping and lots to do, but do your research at home, cause you won't be able to do it there...we are on the fence if we would go back... But when I look at the pictures, it puts a smile on my face...and great memories flow back... So... Yes I think I would go back.. One last thing, it does says in the fine print that your site is NOT guaranteed. If the owner chooses to go there and you are booked in, you will get bumped to another site and if you book an ocean view you may not get that. Because it was an important time of our vacation, and explained the importance of the site to the lady in front, she made a call to the owner and confirmed 100% reserved... So thank you Pacific Shores. You have a beautiful home!
This campsite is really nice. We had a water front site. It was beautiful, just look at the Oil Refinery across the bay, look left.. We found people to be friendly. The restroom were clean. The club house had a number of things to do and more than big enough to hang with a large group of people. All it was missing was a pool, but, sometimes it just isn't available. We decided to walk into town. It was a nice sunny day, but town was a lot further than we expected, an hour 15+ mins. We were hot and our dogs were tired, so we had lunch at a cute cafe and had the largest cinnamon bun I have ever seen and it was delicious. Seeing we had an hour 15+ walk back... Why not! We talked to a lot of people who were very nice. The only item that we weren't fond of, is my husband commented on how some people complained that peopled backed into the waterfront sites and ended up having to share a site with a stranger. When we asked, they told us they don't do that...And what happened we seen this happen to 2 people, one couple besides us and they were not happy, when the people moved the picnic table from one side to their side, and their private eating area gone! This made us question, would we go back. We won't like to share unless it was with people we know. There is a fantastic pave trail that goes on for miles and miles. The shore is rocky not really meant to walk on, wear shoes. Friendly staff, even gave me a scoop of coffee, when we ran out on our last morning. My husband thanks you!!!! I need my morning coffee... Cheers everyone!
We would love to give this place a 10. It is a little isolated, but it is just beautiful. I would have loved to have swam in a pool or sat in a hot tub, but overall the view is just gorgeous. The beach goes for miles. We loved our beach walks with our 2 dogs, they could run forever.... The bathrooms are clean and spa like, and the Club House was very well maintained, as well as the grounds. Offers a game of pool and a beautiful fully equipped kitchen, as well as the state of art exercise equipment. People were fairly friendly. The managers were nice and helpful. Be prepared though, the wind is like nothing we have ever experienced. When new people arrive, the first question is " is it always this windy or does it die down?" We were there for 3 days, and NO it didn't die down... But we still thought this RV Resort was worth staying at. We will have memories that will last a life time. Thank you Sea Perch.
This park owner is a hard worker: he is a one man show works 7 days a week and 24 hours a day. We found him quite pleasant, always wanted to make sure everything was good. We stayed a couple of nights, very quiet. Plus: nice thick grassy sites, clean bathrooms, close to town and the beach just a short walk. The most level campsite we have ever stayed in! Negatives: as much as we tried not to let it bug us, we didn't like the full time campers walking to and from, through our sites. There were a couple full time trailers here that needed some sprucing up. But times a tough, and it can be hard, but it does bring the appeal of the park down, especially when the owner keeps the grounds so well maintained. Owner has a big heart: gives back to his community and his pets. Thanks. Keep smiling!! If it is a quiet place with nice thick grass and located close to town and the beach that you want, than this is your spot!
I give this campground a 7, only because we had stayed there a couple of times last year and had a fab time. Maybe it's too early in the season, but it really seemed to be run down and not well maintained. Staff were on and off friendly. The cotton from the trees was annoying; it was snowing cotton, but this is not the fault of the campground itself. We love Fort Langley, and we love the fact that it is an easy walk into town or to the Fort to Fort Trails. The trains seemed to start running at 10 pm and ran all night, so if you are a light sleeper, you should stay elsewhere. We had lunch at the cafe on site; I have to say "delicious." I don't eat a lot of burgers and fries, but it was good! Fresh cut fries and burger was very tasty and juicy. No WiFi unless you want to pay for it. Lucky for us we just used my "personal hotspot" through my Telus plan when we wanted internet. Will we will probably stay again? Maybe; previous visits we had a great time, so I understand the new staff is getting into the routines, but Staff, it is okay to "SMILE"!..Cheers and Happy Camping.
This Park is just too cute; nice lots. We stayed in the front, but next time will try to get about mid way. Train is a little loud, but what do you expect? It's a train. Very nice owners; they were very accommodating to us and our friends. They set us up so we could be across from each other. Pet friendly, other campers were very nice, close to Hope and the tunnels. No bells and whistles, but beautiful mountain views, just very relaxing. Just what you need after a long work week. We will definitely stay again..
