This is a nice park with lots of potential. Great for those wishing to explore the Shenandoah Valley area. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of activity at the park, but that's not why we camp necessarily. We had no trouble navigating our 40' 5er although take it slow as some sites are a little tricky. The entrance is a little tight and the interior road is wide enough for one RV only so you have to pay attention. All hookups worked just fine. We had no T-Mobile service but the Wi-Fi worked OK some of the time. The staff was friendly enough and the park was very clean and very nicely landscaped.
This campground gives you the camping experience you are looking for. Off the highway about 3 miles. A country road sets the scene. The campground is clean, the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. All sorts of RVs come through here from truck campers to larger rigs. The diner is incredible. 50s flair, so charming and you won't go away hungry. Home made fresh foods!!! There are activities but not an overbearing schedule. Just right. Roads and sites are gravel. Can be a little tight when the campground is full but a little care and no problems. The new store is wonderful, and it looks like other projects are on the horizon. The animals are a great addition and something different that adds to the charm of this campground. This has become a favorite for us.
We spent 3 days at this fabulous state park. No problem at all getting into the park with our 40' 5er. Most sites are short, but there a number of "big rig" sites that are easy to back into. Just check the website for availability. Very spacious as well. Very clean and well maintained with the exception of the dumpsters that desperately needed to be emptied, but it did not detract from our get away. Miles of trails to walk and a beautiful beach. It's electric only but there is a dump station available. Mostly 30 amp sites but a few 50 amp. Highly recommend this park!!
Normally, I do not stay in cabins as I have an RV; however, this trip was solo and heading home. So I opted to stay in a cabin rather than a hotel. Best decision. Staff was helpful and campground was clean. Cabin was a typical KOA cabin and suited my over night stay just fine. With an RV, some care would have to be taken going through the park to a site. Bathrooms and showers were clean.
Great campground. Easy access for all sized units. Sites at an angle which make navigating a large rig like our 40' 5er no problem. Sites are a little short but it's not a detractor. The park is very clean, cement pads and lots of grass around which the pups appreciated. Amenities all worked fine. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again when in the area.
Rate reflects a month long stay. This is more of a manufactured home park versus an RV park, and it is not an RV resort as advertised. It does have a great pool and clubhouse. There are some activities, but unless you are a regular, it is not very inviting. We had planned on staying for the winter but wound up leaving early to find another park that was more accommodating. We choose this park because it was close to pretty much all major attractions (within an hour), and we have friends at this park, and it is also close to family and friends in the area. The staff was not overly friendly when we arrived and seemed to not have a good handle on reservation check in. This improved somewhat during our stay. Our site was a huge, grass site, and there was plenty of space front to back and side to side. However, we are pretty sure our site was designed for a mobile home. We had no cable or internet without having to purchase that separately. Some sites do have cable. All sites are back in or pull in. Can accommodate big rigs on most sites. Pet friendly but there is no dog park. For a long term stay this park would be fine for most people, I guess, but we did not find it warm and inviting enough to stay. We will not return to this park nor would we recommend this park; there are other options in the area that provide better service and put their guests first.
This campground is easily accessible from the highway. Staff is fantastic! Very friendly. Campground is heavily treed and could be difficult to maneuver if full. Sites are designed, like most campgrounds for average sized RVs and trailers. Big rigs can utilize this campground with care. We had a pull thru that allowed us to stay hooked up, but we had to drive with caution. I would not want to come into this campground after dark. We have a 40' 5er and a 20' truck. The escort provided guidance which is very much appreciated. Nice space for the dogs to run and an overall warm and inviting atmosphere. We would stay here again particularly for an overnight stay.
First and foremost, it's camping. This is a great little park. Very pretty and nicely treed. We had the GPS on but followed the highway signs and got in just fine. It is convenient to I-77. It is a little tight and hilly but with care it is very doable. Our pull thru site fit our 40' RV and truck without having to unhitch. Most sites are on the small side but for those with smaller rigs they are very nice. They even have sites with pet yards behind them which would be very convenient but those sites are for very small units. We did not hook up to cable so I cannot attest to that. AT&T signal was not good but their WiFi worked very well. The store is on the small side but has all the basics for those just in case moment. This campground is in a great location to lots of local things to do. We would definitely consider stopping here overnight for our regular north to south and back journey.
This park has tons of potential. But with that said, it is in the Keys. It has a great atmosphere. The campers are friendly enough; can't say that for the staff necessarily. Cable was good and Wi-fi was OK. They seem a little put off with simple questions. We stayed 2 weeks, and even so, the location is perfect, but we will definitely be a little choosy about our site next time. The park overall is cramped, but there are a few good sites that are pushed back and out of the way that would have made for a much nicer stay. The interior sites are close together and the roads are a little narrow. We didn't find much in the way of activities for the average short term camper, but if there for months at a time, there is plenty to do. We have a 40' that navigated alright, but drive was slow on the interior roads. We would recommend and most likely stay again.
Easy to find and friendly staff. Just gearing up for the season and working hard to get things back up and running! A little tight coming in but certainly not a problem. Just have to slow down and be aware of your surroundings. Small store but had everything you could need in case you forgot something. Pull though site was long and accommodated our 40' fiver and truck, but it was a bit unlevel and quite a slope to pull out of when leaving. I bet it is a beautiful park in the summer with the trees and plants. Worked fine for an overnight stay.
What a gem!! Yes, once off the highway the roads are country. Yes it is a small campground and a little tight, BUT we saw everything from truck campers to big rigs in this park. With that said, there are few choices for big rigs, and if you can get a site slow down and take your time. So what is so great about this park? Everything. This country setting, the quaint and quiet atmosphere. Even with the haunted house, the park settles right down after the tours stop. The park is beautiful with great landscaping. The store has a little bit of everything. The staff is very helpful and informative. The diner is fantastic. It is camping, not resort parking. We have a 40' fiver and had no trouble getting into our site. But again, just take your time and enjoy the views. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.
Loved this campground. Easy in and out. Interior roads gravel/stone but well maintained. Staff super friendly and accommodating. The sites are very nice. Large pull throughs with plenty of room side to side. Even the long term sites are spacious. We had no trouble navigating the park with our 40' 5er. Internet and cable both worked great. There are some trees and landscaping, and I am sure in the summer it is beautiful We will certainly return to this campground.
Nice clean park. Owner owned sites. Fairly easy to get in although entrance is a little tight. Each site is unique since it is owner owned. Most are very narrow and short only a few will accommodate larger units. We did find one for our 40'' 5er and had no real issues getting into the site. Originally we had planned to stay 2 weeks but had to change plans due to a family emergency. I personally would not have been happy there for an extended period. Plenty to do in the area and the folks at the campground are friendly enough. Just not my thing. It is a pet friendly park but there aren't many places for the dogs to do their business. Our site was near a hotspot so we had no issues with Internet. With limited camping in the area it's not a bad spot, but I don't know if I would go back or not.
It's Disney so you really can not go wrong. However, larger RVs can have trouble navigating and backing in depending on the site. We have a 40' 5er and did a scrape up the back of our rig on the electric post that sits mid site when we pulled out. Cars/trucks on the ends of sites makes for a little hairy navigation in and out of sites and interior roads. But it is definitely doable with a little patience and watching carefully. The campground itself is first rate. Clean and set up fairly well with plenty of side to side room. Limited areas to walk the dogs but enough to get the job done. Staff very attentive and willing to do what they can to make your stay comfortable. We will certainly go back some day!!
Great campground. Easy to access with our 40'er. Nice and clean. Owners super friendly. Picked a site and set up. No trouble leveling. Plenty of space. This campground is more for overnight stops and it is perfect for that. Would definitely stay here again passing through.
Fabulous park. We stayed for about a month and a half. The park was super easy to get in and out of. We stayed in the long term back in sites in the back, which were very spacious. The short term pull throughs were also very nice. Super friendly staff and campers. Super clean and lots of activities. If you get bored it is your own fault. Very accommodating. We had no problems with our 40' rig. Pet friendly!! Cable was great. WiFi was average. Could be slow at times, but no biggie. Tons to do in the area and the location is perfect to Tampa and Orlando for day trips. We highly recommend this park for short or long term stays!!
Very nice park. All amenities worked very well. Clean campground that was easily accessible even for the largest units. Easy to find and easy to navigate. Great interior roads. Very long pull-throughs. Back in sites generous as well. Campground is located in a perfect location to all the local sites including the beautiful beaches.
This was a fantastic choice in the Birmingham area. The park itself is beautiful and accessible for larger units. We have a 40' rig and had no trouble getting in. Just take it slow the road in has some curves. It is about 5.5 miles from the front gate but a beautiful drive. The park offers seclusion from city life but in about 6 miles you are close to shopping and dining. We were offered pull through sites that were really pull off sites and with slides on both sides we would have been in the road. We found back in sites that were more than adequate. The sites are rather scattered and not lined up which can be tricky at first glance but once you get yourself oriented and scope out your approach no problems at all. All the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend this park!
The good: great location to the hot spots in Nashville. Easy access for our 40' fiver. All hookups worked fine. Great staff. Fantastic light show next door for Christmas. The so-so: Some road noise but not too bad. Sites close together which was fine for us as we were travelling with friends. Sites a little short but manageable. We stayed for 4 days, and we enjoyed our stay. It is sandwiched between RV dealers and 2 other campgrounds. Did not bother us any but may bother some.
This is a beautiful campground. We had no trouble getting our 40' fifth wheel in and set up. We had a lovely patio site. The views of the lake were spectacular. Facilities were standard for a state park. Mostly clean and everything worked well. Wi-Fi was very good. Camp hosts and staff were fantastic and very accommodating. Would highly recommend this campground.
This is a great place for an overnight or even a couple of days. Easy access in and out. No frills but adequate for short stays. Nice roomy sites even for our 40' RV. Hookups all fine and Wi-Fi worked as well. Fantastic older couple who run the park were very helpful. Would certainly stay here again.
Very nice park. Well laid out. Quite accessible for most rigs including big rigs. Staff very friendly and helpful. Long term/seasonal campers friendy as well. Amenities all worked fine for us. No problems manuevering our 40' fifth wheel in and around park. Site are a little close together, but not too bad. No real shade on sites. Grass with concrete pads. Leveling was needed, but expected on grass sites. Our site had a broken pad and some tire marks dug in probably due to recent rains. Overall very clean and well kept! Would certainly recommend and would consider staying long term.
This is pretty much as others have described. It isn't really a campground. It's a parking lot for RVs providing all the basics: water, electric and sewer. Lots of cable TV stations and WI-FI is excellent. It is literally right off the highway making it easily accessible for any size unit! You are parked right next to each other with little room for privacy, and you can't put out your awning, but then again you are only spending the night here. It's perfect for the overnight stay. All pull through sites, we had no trouble with a 40' fifth wheel. There is a picnic table and a trash can. No fire rings. It certainly serves it's purpose for a good place to park for the night without frills or excitement. Not much to choose from in the area, so this is a great choice to get to your final destination north or south.
This is a fantastic campground. Nice roomy sites and gorgeous grounds. Easy to find and easy to navigate. There is no cable hook up but just putting up the antenna does the trick (just remember to put it down before you leave!) We had no problems getting in or out with a 40' fifth wheel. Wi-fi was so-so, but we weren't there for the wi-fi!! Great place to stay!
Very nice campground. Clean and laid out very nicely. Most sites appear to be easily accessible. We stayed near the pond and it was beautiful especially early morning and evening times. Sites and roads are gravel. Sites are pretty level. The facilities (bathrooms, rec room and office) are very clean. Pool is fantastic and very clean and neat. Mini golf is a wreck and there is a charge. Staff can be seen working in various parts of the park throughout the day. All in all a great experience. Close to Hershey/Harrisburg/Gettysburg which is nice. Staff in the office seemed a little disenchanted and unable to make decisions and the owner can be quite defensive if questioned. Not my personal experience, just watched it unfold for another camper.
This is a great park if you are going to Hershey and really enjoy the Hershey theme. The park is jam packed with trailers/motorhomes and tents. Very little space between each camper. Very tight for any large rigs or motorhomes. Beautiful area, staff is super friendly and the stores/office/restrooms are very clean. The pool area is very nice and family friendly, even having entertainment from time to time! Shuttle to Hershey Park is the real attraction to the area.
This park is close to town and easily accessible. This is an older park that appears to be in need of some upgrading but certainly functional. Our stay was in late April and most of the clean up appeared to be done, but still lots of prep on sites. It is not a very big campground and doesn't seem to have much for the kids to do although there is a playground. Great for a quick overnight stop if you need it, but I would look elsewhere for anything long term or holiday weekend.
We visited this campground in early April and it was fantastic. The staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome and to ensure that you knew what was available and near by. They were eager to answer any and all questions. The campground itself was in great condition with some work going on for additions and expansions, none of which interfered with our visit although work was being done nearby. The dog park was great. Great space for fur kids to run off their energy!
