This is the second time we've stayed at the Billings KOA (1st time 5 years ago), and they have certainly kept up their standards. Being one of the most expensive KOA's that we've stayed in, it was packed to the brim over Labor Day weekend. They claim to be on the Yellowstone River but looking over the wall, I didn't see any water, just river rock. The staff is very friendly, the lawn kept cut, watered and trimmed. They have a nice pet park, putt-putt golf, a nicely stocked store and breakfast and dinner offered at their grill. The full length pull-through sites give you plenty of room to keep the toad attached if not needed. The owner's show true pride in their park, we will certainly stay again when passing through Billings, MT.

Considering the name 'Governor's RV park and Campground', I was thinking it would be a nice park since they claim the city of Casselton has reared 4 or 5 Governors for North Dakota. This is a dusty, unkempt RV park. I have to say the connections of 50 amp seem good, nice water pressure and an easy connection to the sewer. That's where the amenities stop. This park was apparently an extra field next to the Days Inn Motel where they graded the land, threw down some gravel, put in electric, and called it a RV park and campground. It's a gravel lot with weeds in between the units where some of the weeds are 4 feet tall. It looks like they started to build a fence to shield the park from the I-94 noise, but all that was completed are the 5 ft. poles every 6 ft. with no fence. What a disappointment for a price where you would at least expect a club house with showers and bathrooms. If there is anything you need, you have to go to the Days Inn next door for services where the RV office/motel office are one in the same. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel that served good food. I would certainly try to find a nicer park next time we come through this area. Our pull-through site has no room to really park your tow car. Only the motorhome fits on the site so we parked our tow vehicle in our patio area. It's not a place that you would want to hang out because of all the weeds.

I was a little apprehensive after reading all the reviews of this campground. Upon arrival, I was greeted by two nice ladies who had my reservation right at hand. I had to initial a receipt stating that I understand that there will be traffic noise, etc. Which is understandable since it's right along the 101 freeway. I was concerned about the 'vagrants' that I read about in previous reviews but was assured that the 24 hr. security would look out after the park. They did tell me to lock up my bike. I keep in a bay so it's not outside. Nice looking and clean park and very convenient off the 101 freeway. I would give it a 10 but there is very limited space for patio enjoyment. Actually, there is no patio, just a grassy isle between the sites.

I was a little apprehensive after reading the previous negative posts but I wanted to try the park out. One problem is that I was immediately informed that there was a 72 hr. no refund policy. Since I was making my reservation a day before my arrival, I would not get a refund if I was delayed for some reason. If I owned a park, I would not hit a customer with that as it sets the tone of being unfriendly and negative. I thought the park was nice although the spots are tight. Another problem is that the ocean front sites have the utilities on the wrong side of the coach for a class-A. I was not able to connect my sewer but managed the electric and water. For the cost of the daily rate, you would think they would offer services on both sides to accommodate class-A's. I'm sure the park was built when most people had trailers to back in. But, with a class-A, you don't want to loose the view! I was able to use the dump station on the way out so all was good with the world. I would stay there again as you can't beat the view but a little more friendly staff would be icing on the cake. Also, as you drive in, there are several old class-A's that look like they have been there a while, it's not the best impression.
