Nice park. We have stayed here a few times. Very dusty when we stayed as N Arizona is very dry. Very windy. Nice facilities. Pool was cold for kids. Miniature golf has been renovated and is much nicer. Be nice if they staffed the trailer down by bikes and mini golf so you dont have to walk up to main office every time you want to use those facilities. The cafe is shut down.... asked when we first checked in and worker told me it was not open and it was due to... and stopped. I asked again and young lady indicated it is closed due to not having a chef. Bummer as we were looking forward to eating there one night. We will definitely come back. Kids love it.
Stopped here on way through Colorado for one night. Convenient locations. Facilities are OK. Pool is small and water was a bit green. Play set was nice. All gravel and asphalt, no grass or trees near pull throughs. Pull throughs were level. Restrooms and showers were close to us and clean. We were not treated well, and I am not sure this is a child friendly park. The office was open until 6PM. We went to buy some souvenirs and got to office at 5:52. They turned the OPEN sign off as we walked up, and rudely dismissed my wife and 4 kids and would not allow them in to buy anything. Manager came by our spot later to apologize, but did nothing to help. We will not ever stop here again.
Nice stop on our way through. Clean, well kept. Good facilities, nice play area. Level spot, easy in and easy out. It rained when we stopped, otherwise we would have had a nice view of July 4th fireworks! Close to Petrified Forest, which was a nice drive. Staff was friendly. We would stay here again.
We enjoyed a two night stay here. It was hot, fire ban was on, and the sites were a bit close, but had a nice pool, petting zoo, play area, and game room. We stayed here due to proximity to Milwaukee and it is well positioned for that. Good overnight stay. Nice people. Sites were not very level, but easy to drive through. We would stay here again.
One of our favorite kid campgrounds. Lots to do, clean restrooms, nice shaded sites. We stayed backed up to the pond, and there are lots of geese by the pond, so we had goose droppings to walk around. Nice nightly movies, activities galore, nice play area, pool is great, with a water slide which closes too early! We will stay here every time we are in Wisconsin.
Just an OK stop over. Nice little playground, but was not as well kept as could have been. Pool was closed for 24 hours, as someone had an "accident" before we arrived. Sites were OK, mostly just gravel and were level enough. Did not use the showers here. We would probably not stay here again; we like more amenities.
We liked this stay-over outside Albert Lea. Level spot, good access, nice shady spots with room between them. We enjoyed the pool, play area, ice cream social, very friendly staff. We would stay here again if we travel through the area.
We liked this park alot. It was very hot, 107 when we got there, so we used pool, and the kids enjoyed. Level spots, nice people running Kampground, showers were very nice. Mini golf was OK. This was a good stopover in Mitchell. We would stay here again if we are this direction.
A fantastic campground with all amenities. Level sites, nice clean showers and restrooms, nice pool area, splash pad for little ones, two stores, super pancake breakfast for $2.50 each morning. All in all a very nice campground. Busy, but we like it busy. Nice play area, small water slide, horseback riding on site, and rental cars and ATV's. We will definitely stay again. Kids are already asking when we will be returning.
Nice stopover in Rawlins. Very accommodating. Sites were fairly level. Restrooms and showers were clean. Staff was very nice and helpful. We would stop here again for one night. Nice play set for kids. No pool but looked like they were adding one?
Very nice park with lots of stuff for the kids to do. We were put next to a group that had a pop-up and 5 vehicles they had to arrange so that we could fit. Our hookups (especially the sewer) were next to their picnic table, and uncomfortably close. The mini golf was not in good shape but our kids had a nice time. Some sites are not level, including ours; the fire ring was on an angle. People were nice and helpful, store was fully loaded, nice restaurant on site. We will stay here again.
We decided to take a long weekend, at a KOA with facilities in Benson partly because it was close enough to Tucson so that daughter could visit. Although this park is just OK, our kids did enjoy it enough that we may go back in the right season. I thought it was a bit over priced this time of year. There were only a couple other campers in the park at all. We were greeted by a black widow spider, who was residing on the under side of the picnic table, and there were many large ant hills, but to the campground's credit, they treated the ant hills while we were on site. Dog walking is an issue, as burrs are prevalent on the ground. No shade and no grass or dirt, all rocks and gravel. Older facilities, including pool, playground, and very small 9 hole mini golf course. All in all, enough to do that if it were not so hot we would have have a good time. Would have been nice to have a fish-able pond.
Very nice resort: in a park like setting. Our kids had a great time on the older play set and the older swing set. The pool was OK, but a bit worn down. The access to Oak Creek was great. Nicely wooded break from desert campgrounds. The people were nice and helpful. Roads are a bit worn out. Sites are a bit close together, but ours had a nice grass area and a concrete pad. A bit expensive when they increase for each person over 4. However we will stay here again.
We loved this park. There were plenty of spots available, and we chose one right near the playground. The proximity to the play equipment, the cleanliness of the facilities, and the views of the lake were all big positives. We will definitely come back and hopefully stay at one of the pull throughs overlooking the lake. The only negatives are the lack of sewer hookups and more play equipment (no slides, no swings). All in all a nice play to go close to Phoenix.
We had a great site, #165 shaded in the Willow Loop. Walk to playground and pool. Checkin personnel were very nice. Very clean very good access to all that is San Diego. Only complaint was that the office closed at 5PM and we needed to get some supplies the two nights we were at the campground, and they did not inform us very well what activites where going on. Other than that, very nice campground. On top of everything, we dropped our camera as we left, picked camera up but did not know that memory card had been ejected. Had photos of Disney, San Diego, etc. Had not downloaded yet. Well, the office found it and called us and are shipping to our house. What a relief!! Would stay here again.
First off, this is now also associated with KOA, even though there are no signs which indicate it, they are listed on the KOA web site now. The hosts indicated the signs are ready to be put up. We did not know it was CRA or C2C, not that we would avoid, but we look for KOA's because always something for the kids to do. We checked in, only about 10 people in campground, almost deserted for summer. We were put in the pull through area, per our request since we did not need to unhook. Full hookups, but only 30amp as stated. Not much open besides the pool, spa was down for repair. Pool was nice. Kids did love the fishing pond. Tons of fish, great action, even some nice sized bass. Hear the coyotes at night. Not much shade, (none in our area), not much grass (none in our area). People were nice to us.
Nice clean park close to Disney. Although the sites are fairly close together, we had room and a bit of grass. Location in proximity to Disney is fantastic. We drove to Disney but a shuttle was available. We could watch the fire works from the back of our camper, better view then at the park. Pool was nice. Big laundry. Workers were friendly and helpful. Other campers were great. All in all a good experience.
