This was a fun, quaint little place. It is literally right across the street from Warren Dunes State Park- which is awesome. The staff was extremely friendly as well as some of the seasonals. The sites were small but maneuverable. The final night we were there, they happened to be having a pot luck dinner right by the pond located in the middle of the campground. The showers and toilets were clean. The only negative is, you have to pay a quarter per 6 minutes of water for the shower. The water was hot and the pressure was good. And, quite frankly, I didn't even need 6 minutes :-) We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for three nights on our way out to Yellowstone. It was a beautiful resort. The sites were huge along with the whole facility. There was tons of space of the kids to run around and play. Waking up, stepping outside the trailer, breathing the mountain air and viewing the Black Hills: it was a beautiful thing. We did get hit by a couple of severe hail storms two of the nights we were here. The staff was very helpful and extremely diligent as far as getting the Wi-Fi back up and running after the storm. We highly recommend this place. I wish this were closer to our residence (Napeville, Il). If we ever get out West again, we will definitely stay here.

This was a neat, clean little campsite. It was off of a busy state highway just outside of Rapid City. The staff was extremely nice. The showers, toilets and pool were very clean. The spots were a bit tight and rather interesting. The one we stayed at had a little roofed pavilion next to it. My wife and I thought that was interesting. If we are ever able to get out West again, we would stay here.

We camped here with our three children (9, 6, 2) and had a great experience. The sites were huge and the campground was easy to navigate through. They had all kinds of activities and places to get treats for the kids. The staff was very, very friendly and the showers/bathrooms and pool were really clean. There are so many cool things to see in this area and of course the beach on Lake Michigan: awesome. This was our first Jellystone camping experience and we were very pleased. We would definitely go back.

Overall, we were disappointed with our stay here. We have a 28' travel trailer and it was virtually impossible to navigate through the campground and in and out of the sites. The sites are right on top of each other and many people were having problems with the lift gates entering and exiting the campground (with the codes). Everything we did, the ownership acted as if we were "up to something" or trying to pull something. One of the employees ( I was told she is the wife of one of the owners) was curt and unfriendly. Other people in the resort had also had problems with her and complained about her. We also spoke with seasonal people who had been here for years. They said they are now prepared to leave due to the ways of the new ownership. There was another female employee who was very sweet and helpful. In fact, she even came to warn us to move my parents' vehicle off the site next to ours (at 10pm) so we wouldn't get fined. You know, they might want to rent that empty sight to someone in the middle of the night even though they're closed: but rules are rules. My parents stayed in a hotel in Holland and would visit us nightly to see the grandkids (we were here for two nights) for a couple of hours. Ownership seemed to frown on this. We did not feel welcome and will not return. We assumed that we were treated like this because we were just "renters." It turns out that some of the seasonal people said that they feel they get treated worse than renters. Sorry for this lengthy review but if you want to go to this area of Michigan, save some money and hassle and stay in Holland State Park.
