This park is not fancy, but it had spacious lots and nice shade trees. Compared to some of the parking lot campgrounds nearby, we'd stay here every day of the week. The restrooms are old but clean and the laundry is spacious. Our lot was reasonably level. My biggest complaint was that the tire rim fire ring at our site was small and would not fit a normal sized fire log completely inside. We would stay here again. If I did so I would try to get closer to the playing field to give the kids even more space to run around.
The park is located in a very scenic setting, which we enjoyed. The address we had for the park was not exactly where the park was located. It was about 2 miles further down a country road. The location of the park has easy access to Old Fort Harrodsburg, which was very interesting, as well as Keeneland Horse Park. Our pull through lot was very spacious. There was a nice playground. On the downside, the camp store was pretty smoky and did not have very regular hours. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again.
