We stayed at C17, an awesome site. Was large, spacious and private. Really nice CG. There are quite a few nice sites here. Lakes and pool are a short drive away. Pool was crowded so we didn't go. Maybe next time. There are some big fish in one of the lakes. The other is a trout lake that I didn't fish.

State Park is beautiful. CG is more like a parking lot. There are shade trees between sites but little to no privacy from site to site. Site #2 is the nicest site by far. If you go,don't forget a canopy because you will be in the sun some or most of the day. As I said the park is really nice with a clean beach and nice lake. There are some really nice trails for hiking too.

We stayed on site:13 because DNCR website stated it was more secluded than the others. The best site is definitely # 18. Even though it is on an inner loop, it is private and well shaded with the firepit at the rear of the site. #16 is also a nice site. Great if you are reserving 2 sites. It will get the late afternoon sun though. Our site (13) has its firepit 20' from the road, had sun until noon and wasn't quite as secluded as advertised. It did have a nice area in the rear under the pines for a hammock. All of the walk-in tent sites looked nice. Bathrooms and showers were modern and very well kept. Dishwashing sinks were way too small and no table to store clean dishes while washing dirty ones. CG was quiet and clean. Had nice trails and a large beach within walking distance. Park does attract a lot of people and the beach was crowded almost all week. Fishing was ok. Nice lake for kayaks.

Nice CG. The sites were a little too close with not enough vegetation to give much privacy. We had a lakefront site ( big mistake ) There is a neat little trail that goes around the lake. Nice to walk but a little uncomfortable trying to eat dinner with everybody walking by. There were some pretty nice sites in the furthest ring though. The fishing was pretty good with a lot of trout in the lake. If you've read any of my other reviews you'll see I like to fish so a good fishing lake always gets a higher rating from me. Overall I would recommend this CG.

Wow! We used to go to a different campground nearby for July 4 holiday. We've found a diamond in the rough here. Extremely friendly staff. Very friendly campground. They had a 35 minute fireworks show over the lake (outstanding). Good fishing in the lake (catch and release; some nice size bass) Now the negatives: Roads were pretty slippery but take into consideration it rained something like 24 days in June. Water pressure up on top of the hill where we were was pretty weak. Our solution was to just fill our tanks and use the pump. Problem solved. I'm also not so sure the electric up top is 30 amp. We didn't need the AC because those sites are fully shaded. I did use the microwave and it didn't sound like it was getting full power. We do a lot of state parks so we're kind of used to roughing it a little. The positives far outweigh the negatives here. We'll definitely be going back.

Always a good time to be had. One of the nicest if not the nicest parks in the area. Book early, almost always near capacity for good reason.

Very small campground but extremely friendly staff and seasonal clientele. Sites are wooded and some are spacious. The pond has some large fish for catch and release. I can't say enough good things about everybody I've come in contact with all four times we've camped there. This place is a great weekender.

We've been going to Keen Lake for several years. Always loved it. Great fishing, friendly people etc. But something happened. I don't know if management changed in the family or just the times are changing. There are a lot more seasonal sites now. A lot of rude people who don't seem to be the typical friendly campers that brought us back year after year. We booked our sites ( we usually go in small groups) at least six months in advance. We asked for and were told we'd be in a specfic area. Wooded near the lake. A couple weeks prior to our trip I called to find out what sites we were getting. They told me they couldn't tell me yet. I found that odd but after years of camping there I trusted them. When I got there I found my very small site in full sun nowhere near the lake. I immediately went to the office. I was told the only other sites I could change to were at the farthest point in the campground against the road. They didn't even apologize for their error. Unfortunately We won't be going back. They just don't seem to care so I won't either.
