I called several times for a reservation for a 45 foot motor coach and tow and was not intending to unhook the tow. We were booked for a pull-thru premium site. We had to unhook the tow as the dirt roads were to narrow and bumpy. There were no signs for this RV resort and the trees have grown over the street sign. There were tents packed in all the river front sites, boats and trailers, fifth wheels, and trucks everywhere else. Our premium site was all the way in the back of the park in an open field looking at a scrap pile. It is not big rig friendly nor are the pull-thrus made for big rigs. We could not open any slides due to a tree and a truck parked where it should not be - in our site. When the boaters arrived back to their sites, the loud party continued till after one in the morning. A word to the wise....Pass this one by.
Price reflects all inclusive monthly rate by man made pond, which was full of weeds and scum. There are two end spots by pond that are not paved, I believe web-site claimed all spots are paved, they were not and one was our spot the end spot right next to I-5. Words to the wise, pass this one by. The traffic noise is bad. Woke us up a lot at night even turning on three fans and burning one out, did not help. Tractor trailers were very noisy, as well as cars with loud mufflers and motorcycles. Also, we wondered why the pool was always cloudy and we were being told that they would empty and refill it. We over heard some long term residences tell their visiting grandchildren just to pea in the pool when they asked to be taken to the bathroom. No one in management or long term residence were very friendly there. This happens when owners are not there only managers.
Made reservation in Jan. 2013 quoted $500+electricity but when we arrived in July we were charged $525+ for our monthly stay, we had also said in January we may stay 2 months and were told should not be a problem. Newer owner Korean not good with English and office girl not good with her job, must be new also. These people constantly move coaches around. Not sure what that is about. We were able to stay in one spot for a month, with just enough room for tow. When we said we would like to stay a second month the owners said we would have to move and pay weekly rate ...NO more monthly rates. We left. The pool was closed for the first two weeks we were here, filter broken. Lots of dogs in this park but very little dog area. the sites are dirt and dusty. The park was quiet at night. During the weekend days the sportsman club a few doors down had outdoor shooting in their range and you heard shooting all day, very unnerving. Exercise equipment not in good working order. Owners and workers not friendly. We did however make some good friends with people who stayed there all summer and even yearly. Seems the new owners are cutting down trees and bushes to make more room for rvs to fit, raising rates and making changes, that do not complement the park. If you are sent up the hill it is very tight. To bad it was a nice park at one time and Gig Harbor is a nice area, with shopping and dinning near by. Sadly, we will not stay here again. but we loved Gig Harbor and the summer weather there was great. We loved the area people, and made some forever friends there.
Nicely maintained park but not big rig, motorcoach friendly, bush on site scratched slide out. Spots and roads very tight. Hot tub needed cleaning. Exercise room ok. Dog run small and unkept. Talk of under road access to ocean but no one knew where it was. Nice rest. lounge, hotel across street with beautiful views. Campfire nice but not much view of ocean. Will not stay again. Not made to feel very welcome by anyone there.
We could not camp here. There appeared to be reviews from months in the whole year but when we called for Sept. 18th or 19th overnight stay, we were given another parks number and told this park was closed and would reopen in May
Spots were small gravel, the beach was gravel also. I would rather have sand. People were not overly friendly. Nice restaurant down past marina on the water and a floating section also. Ask office for a coupon and ask for early bird special when dinning early. Good food. Not much shade just small gravel. Might stop again If I do not find something else.
Nicely maintained park but when grass is watered nightly - word to the wise...wipe off RV everyday to help with water spotting. We stayed for a month so our rate is reflective of that. Or stay was split between 2 months and May was better - as soon as June hit the river bugs hatched and were everywhere inside and out and the travel traffic was on. Traffic noise and buggy during the summer. Heard May and Sept better for both. Camp owners and workers very nice as were the nightly campfires and ice cream. But the show is over at nine pm sharp and no other outside fires and nothing on the lawns due to watering. May stay again, but only early spring or fall. Due to bugs, wind and traffic noise hard to enjoy your beautiful paid for view of the river.
