A beautiful park in the wooded hills. Paved entrance roads but gravel roads through park. There was some ponding of water while we were there, but there were torrential rains. Great bath house. Caught a good size bass in their pond. Pleasant staff. We had no trouble maneuvering our 34' trailer though some sites were smaller than ours. Would have given it a 10 if they had cable, but we survived with the three stations over the air.

This is a very nice COE park on Lake Bardwell. Lovely setting. Our only disappointment was that the toilets were pit and the water coming out at the showers had an extremely strong sulfur smell. Strong enough to make you gag. But if you are self-contained, it's no problem. We were there in Nov, so the park was pretty empty. Very friendly workamper staff.

We enjoyed this campground. The setting is beautiful and the town of Dunnellon is quaint. The section we were in (sites 58 and up) which are nearer to the river, will be closed in June 2006 and the area turned into day use only. So the roads in that section were in poor condition. The other facilities were fine. The only campsites will be at the front of the park, which don't have any shade.

Quiet, clean park convenient to Charlottesville and historical sites. Free WiFi worked great. Will definitely return. Ate at a great little homestyle diner in Scottsville, Lumpkins. Look for the giant rooster out front.

We stopped by here, checking it out for a future visit. The campground is no longer a KOA and I can see why. It's not a bad campground, it just needs some updating and maintenance.

This is a new campground, so there is no shade available, but the facilities are new and the CG is nicely laid out. Very big rig friendly and a large rec hall for groups. The owners were very friendly. They were in the process of planting trees throughout the campground while we were there. It is about 6 miles south of I-20, so a little further from Vicksburg, but it was very quiet there. Better than camping in town and close to a casino.

We enjoyed this park. It is about 10 miles from Natchez. There are two parts to the camping area. The old part and the new part, where we stayed. The sites in the new part are paved and nicely configured. New bathhouse. We drove through the old part, which had the few full hook-up sites. I think that big rig accessibility might be a problem there. We weren't surprised that our cell phone didn't work, but were surprised that there was no payphone anywhere in the park. We would return.

This campground is no longer a KOA. It's an OK campground for a short stay and hopefully the new owners will make some improvements.

Our overall rating of this state park is very good. It's a wonderful property with a nice CCC museum, tram nature rides, Friday night fish fry (very good), and a friendly staff. The sites at the campground are VERY close together and the hook-ups can be very far away. The CG was full the weekend we were there, but everyone was well behaved. The showers were clean, but old and could use a remodel. The courtesy phone for local and toll free calls was convenient.

This place is truly a dump. I am glad to hear that it is no longer a KOA. It was thrown out of the system because it is so bad.
