I used this campground for a place to stay while riding in a local bike ride. We were pulling our 32 foot travel trailer and booked site A5, which is rated for a 33' trailer. Upon arrival on late Friday evening, I was none too happy to find that I had to navigate through a VERY narrow circle to get to my camp site. BE WARNED: The circle is very narrow, lined with trees and was difficult to navigate. I was basically within inches of trees on both sides while attempting to navigate in the dark. In addition to the width issues, I was unhappy to find vehicles parked in the road in front of adjoining camp sites. According to the park policy, a 1 vehicle per site rule exists but it was evidently not enforced. When I asked a fellow camper to move, I was greeted with disgust and the gentleman would not talk to me. He instead slammed his tailgate and got in the truck and moved without any type of interaction. Once in the site, I was thrilled to navigate tree stumps and an improperly cleared space. Without being very precise, we were faced with either not opening our back slide or not opening our canopy because of trees. After many attempts, we finally got the RV placed perfectly and were set for the night. All in all, it took me 1 hour to get in to my site and get setup due to all of the difficulties. The sites are sandy, not gravel so be sure to bring a rug and a broom. They lock the firewood shed at night, so late arrivals are forced to forgo a first night camp fire since bringing your own wood is illegal. thankfully, I had some starter logs in the RV. Don't believe there is an enforced quiet time since kids were running around and screaming at 11pm. I even had kids run through my site while I was trying to hookup and I had to ask them nicely not to do so out of safety. If you're looking for shady wooded sites, then this is your place! Seems like a nice setting, but I just don't foresee us going back for a family visit anytime soon. Just not one of the best out there and definitely not setup for the larger travel trailers.

Went with the reviews and stayed here versus the local Yogi park. This campground has very few activities for the kids. There are very few areas for the kids to ride their bikes, the playground is small and basically there's not much going on. The "nature trail" is a path cut behind a few camp sites. Blink and you'll miss is. My site was not level at all! So much so, that I had to borrow additional lumber from my friends to level up the RV. My door handle was roughly 7 feet off of the ground once we were done. Want to hang up lights on your awning? Need and extension ladder for that! Also not impressed that when sitting around the campfire at night you can hear the highway traffic from Interstate 81. The Wi-Fi here was so darn slow that I used my cell phone instead. Why bother? The positives were: The staff was nice and the camp is wooded and somewhat rustic. Seemed like a lot of people stopped here for a short overnight stay on their way to somewhere else. I'm pretty sure we wouldn't come back. Not that it was awful, but also that it wasn't great either.

Just returned from camping at this wonderful gem with my family. Wow! What a great park and location. DO NOT go here if you are looking for cable TV, internet, game rooms, and the ability to stare at the back of your neighbors RV when you walk out of yours. Sites are very spacious, level and provide privacy. Electric and water seemed very reliable and sufficient. Bathhouse and bathrooms were very nice, clean and sufficient. While the sites DO NOT provide septic, the park does offer a site with two dump stations in the general area of the campground. The dump stations are roomy and pull through, which makes cleaning out a breeze. Water hookup is provided at the dump station, so a good clean out can be obtained with no issues. Take your bikes! Our kids loved the myriad of riding trails that were available throughout the park. Park offers a nice boat ramp with plenty of parking. In addition, several nice parking spaces are available within the camp area for people with trailers. There is also an additional kayak/canoe only launch area that seemed easy to get in and out of. In our bike and hiking adventures, we noticed several areas established for having a cookout/picnic along the river. We participated in a park sponsored educational presentation on bats in the area. The Ranger who presented this was very knowledgeable and great with the kids. I really have nothing bad to say about this place. It's camping and state preservation at it's best! My kids were occupied with bike rides, hiking and playing games in our spacious camp area. We left this park feeling refreshed and relaxed and that's all I can ask for We will be going back!

Sites were very tight. Plenty of activities for the kids. No issues with electric, septic, or water. Internet was down while we were there. Staff was super friendly

We had an interesting stay here. Overall, it was a good time because we had four other families, and the campground did a great job of putting us away from anyone else. Campground is basic, not much happening here (which was okay by us). Boat docks are nice; we launched our own kayaks from this location. Negatives: Received ZERO info about the campground when we checked in. Older gentlemen (owner I assume?) was rude at times. Jumped all over me because I parked my truck by the boat ramp when all I was doing was walking down to see if the kids and their kayaks were ready to be loaded. Started beeping the horn and yelling when he pulled up escorting a couple in an RV. Plenty of room for them to get by and no boat, so I wasn't blocking anyone. Started going on about how many idiots come in there with boats and can't drive, etc. Same gentleman called all of our kids to his office one evening without a parent present to question them about a report of someone jumping off a building into the pool. This was not our kids, and we all had issues with this tactic as the parents should have been notified and asked to escort their children (some as young as 7 years old). When my wife questioned a worker about this he said he would get the owner to come to our site, and he never showed up. A party in our group was told to leave their Great Dane at home due to insurance issues and policy. Fine, but then we witnessed a fellow camper walking around their Doberman one evening. According to their website Dobermans are one of the banned dogs. Come to find out, it was a long term tenant, so we assume the rules are only enforced for us short term campers. Kept tripping the 30amp breaker at the pole. Never had this issue at other sites. Question the electricity being provided. Water was filthy, so definitely use a filter. Wireless is only accessible near office unless you bring a powerful antenna. Internet speed was atrocious. Campground wasn't full, but one of our tent campers had hot water issues in the men's shower. Positive: Great area for kayaking. Great area if you aren't into crowds. Summary: Enjoyed the trip because of friends and our ability to get sites together away from other campers. Probably won't return because I wasn't impressed by certain things mentioned above. Too many other options out there.
