Bunnies everywhere, and while they are cute and all, people with dogs or even cats might not think it was all so great. So beware of that...drove my dog crazy! On the upside the grounds and bathroom very clean, sites are large enough for any size RV. Close to many of the area tourist things and you feel safe leaving your rig. AT&T cell works well. I found the check-in staff to be friendly but a little confused; it seemed to take longer than it should. I'm not sure I would stay again just because of the bunnies everywhere was hard to have my dog outside. Footnote: Hate when there is a leash rule for my dog but owners let their dog run free, I have 2 BIG bruises on my legs where their dog came out of nowhere and my dog ran after (on leash) and dragged me down.. the rule is the rule....
Can you say sheep/horse poop...I've never seen so much of it in my life. This is a whole in the wall campground, very old and needs tons of work. The bathrooms were old but clean enough considering the campground. The price was crazy high if I was not so tired we would not of stayed, we paid $18.00 with passport America. Sign said $25.00 night for Bikes...CRAZY!! ATT cell worked ok, could not get DirecTV or local channels. Road is very rough going in, I would not stay again. FYI GPS was wrong going in.
This is a older campground, and it needs a little work, but couple just bought it 5 months ago and you can tell they are working on it. Close to highway and that is nice but your can hear it all night. FYI if you are on the 80 West and your GPS says to turn right off the highway Don't do it - turn left and it's right over the bridge. Nice pool, play ground and laundry room. Showers are free and clean. Free WiFi and got DirectV at our site. ATT cell work fine. It's on a golf course, so pretty setting. Room for the largest of RV. Small store on bar on sight. I thought was a little high priced at $30.00 with Good Sam's.
This park is good for a overnight stay, easy to get in and out of but I think WAY over priced. The driveway are in much need of repair, bathrooms are clean and each one is the size of a bathroom at home, laundry room is fine, machines work. NO trash cans around park, dislike that. Nice pull-through sites, but 2 in a row, so there is a chance you could get stuck in one if the person ahead of you not leaving when you are. Internet worked well and AT&T phone work fine. GREAT country store, with all kinds of great cheese, jams, spices etc. at what I thought was good prices. Would I stay again? No, not for this price.
This is a medium size campground with cabins, not far off the highway and train tracks, but the noise was not bad. Easy to get in and out of, sites are kind of close, but pull-throughs are nice and long. We got here the Tuesday after the Rally so was quiet; fine with us. Pool area needs little work, but clean, laundry room looked fine, showers are behind the laundry little hard to find. They are usable and free, something you don't see often. Nice young family working hard here, to clean this park up, so if you're in the area stop by. My only bad comments, when I checked in I was not told the Internet password, had to go out of my way to find it out. Should have been told when I checked in, like when a campground gives a flier upon check in with rules, map of grounds, codes etc. They take Passport America so make sure and ask. FYI some GPS might give you the wrong exit so check their web.
This is a older park with No bells and whistles, but there is lots of tree's (Watch for low ones), on the river and not to far off the highway. The road is good getting into the park and signs along the way. Room for any size rig, the bathrooms are OK, not perfect, but usable for sure. We only stayed a night but you could stay longer, seems safe and the police came throw a few times. Donation's are the price for the night, can't bet that.
“Won't find better...” ANY PLACE in this area! I've done the work for you, don't waste your time checking out any other RV park in this area if your looking for clean, quiet, in a great location. With in an hour's drive of Grants Pass and Crescent City CA and the Jedediah Smith Redwood State Park. Make sure you take the Howland Hill RD drive, amazing Redwood grove. The drive will take you about hour and is mostly dirt, and one lane, but you won't want to miss it. Stop at the Hiouchi info center for more information. Now back to the RV park. This is a pretty new park, with clean coin showers and laundry room. Washer and dryers could use an update, but they work. On the grounds you will find nice sites with full hook-ups, some shade. Also Teepees and tent sights, and a good old fashion swimming hole. Park is dog friendly with lots of area to walk. There is a WELL stocked store within walking distance, with liquor and pretty much any thing else, at prices you would expect. Also gas, and post office. Very nice couple that run the park, even help you pull in if needed. We ended up staying a extra day we enjoyed it so much. Price is average at $25.00-$30.00 a night, they take Good Sam. You won't be sorry if you pick Lone MT for your stay. Also has Wi-Fi and DirecTV that both work well and AT&T cell work OK.
This is a very nice campground well kept, in a good area, room for the largest of RVs. The young man that's is campground host is so polite and helpful. Nice playground and large off-leash dog area. Nice on-site store if you need something, and a clean laundry room. Close to everything, my only bad comment is there is a very dangerous left turn coming out of the campground, with no light, hard to pull out with a big rig, but can be done. There are a lot of people living here, but this is a large park and all sites well kept!
This campground is in the country and good location to many things in this area. Lots of trees and full hook-up, BUT many of the sites are taken by what look to be full time people living here and not all of them are well kept, so kind of gives a unsettling feeling to me any way. There is room for some pretty large RVs here, and the nice ones are only here for short stay. Lots of trees, so that is nice. BUT the bathrooms are down right GROSS. I would not give my dog a bath in there. Sad they are making money and don't see a need to do something about cleaning up the bathrooms. It's a place to stay if you have things to do in this area, but make sure you have onboard what you need so you never have to go into the bathrooms.
This little campground is a hidden jewel. I've been camping for many years and this was the most relaxing stay I've had at campground in years. Sleeping was amazing. We have a RV but choose to dry camp for a better spot and view of the ocean. Only cost $15.00 a night. If you choose full hook-up still cheap at $21.00 a night, but those sights are in the sun and close. This is a older campground and in need of repair, but none the less a great place to stay. I will say the bathrooms are useable but old and could use repair. If I was in the area I would stay again for sure! About hours drive to Long Beach WA that is the "Longest Beach in the World"
