Very reasonably-priced RV/mobile home park with management on site. Well maintained with more upgrades to come. Paved interior roads with speed bumps. Grassy lots mowed short and sprayed for insert control. Centrally located clean laundry and restrooms; trash dumpster emptied often. Dump station. Keyed mail boxes available. Propane sales tank just added. Mixture of residents: parents with some children/retired persons; short and long stays. Leashed pets allowed. Extremely convenient location in north Lakeland with Sweet Bay grocery store across the street; Publix, CVS, and Walgreens very near, as well as Wal-mart about a block away. Major shopping center and Orange Bowl Lanes just south. Several golf courses nearby. Our first choice for this area.
Good location just off the interstate and not that much noise. Service stations and restaurants nearby. Sites not really big rig friendly; not level and sewer connection near rear of site so extra-long sewer hose would be needed. Used their showers since we didn't connect sewer. Showers close to overnight area. Park mostly long-term residents as many are. Office person (owner?) very nice and helpful.Park is attractive with lots of plantings.
Very nice RV park closer to Griffin than Jackson, GA, and easy access to I-75. GPS instruction probably wrong: Exit highway 16 westbound and take first left-turn lane past Chevron station. Follow signs short distance to park. “NO” sign at entrance is kind of off-putting. Office closed on weekends, but a payment drop box is available and phone answered 24/7. Take first right past office building then take immediate right and go past pool and office. Pull-through overnight sites on left with easy exit from park. These sites are not shaded, but satellite tuning is easy. Sites have uphill slope and sewer connection near the rear of the site. Restrooms and laundry clean and air-conditioned; day room with large screen TV, coffee, books, magazines. Pool looked good even we didn’t use it. Located next to restrooms and showers. Griffin is 11.3 miles and has every restaurant you might want; we enjoyed Tim’s Country Buffet immensely.
I thought this park would be busier. Owners very nice and show you to your site. Good place to stop while traveling I-20 to/from Atlanta. Stopped here on Friday night to avoid heavy Atlanta weekday traffic. Pull through sites long enough for 40 ft. motorhome and two cars which is our primary concern. Very pet friendly which is our second concern. A bit overpriced though. Would stay again.
I'm surprised this location is even listed on this website since the campground is primarily dedicated to people getting motorhome maintenance performed here. It is very basic, but serves it's purpose. Our hosts have been extremely friendly and helpful although they are very busy. The laundry room is better than most and very reasonably priced. Restrooms are clean, but not used much since most folks use their motorhomes. Some folks have to stay here longer than they would like waiting on parts/service. Grocery is just down the street and office keeps a book of restaurants and churches in the area. Have all your license plate numbers and motorhome vin with you for check-in to speed it up.
We have visited this campground for years and years; many improvements have been made. Roads into and inside park are all repaved. Sites are level and most widely spaced; some shaded. Ten 50-amp sites along the south outside road are all pull throughs large enough for 40' RV plus vehicles. There are firepits and picnic tables on most sites. Restrooms are not fancy, but adequate. Short drive into town for supplies. Camp hosts friendly and knowledgeable. Popular location for locals as well as travelers.
Location is only about 3 miles from I-10 and is very quiet and country-like, including wild life. Sites are not evenly spaced so take a good look before deciding. Has a large tent area. Very nice restrooms and showers though we didn't use them. Good sized laundry room, but no AC or a fan, $2 each to wash and dry. Great staff; all very friendly and knowledgeable. Could use more signage to make the office easier to find. Cave is very interesting: a bit over-priced, but not bad. Well be better in future with planned upgrades.
Would have liked to stayed here longer; was very nice. Pull through space was longer than the RV and two cars. Has easy access to I-35. Has a nice laundry room; reasonable prices. Very park-like with trees, patios, tables; the whole park is very neat and tidy. Highly recommend. Hope to come back.
