We spent one night here while on a road trip. We arrived after 6:00 PM and no provision had been made for late arrival even though we had a reservation. So we just took a spot and figured we'd settle up in the morning. The restrooms had a key code on the door, so we were out of luck with no phone number posted to call at the office. The place seemed very run down with some shady characters who looked like long-time residents. We were gone early the next morning and left a note on the office door (still not open !) to arrange for payment.

Many, many RV Parks to choose from in this area. We picked a good one. The boardwalk to the beach was a great feature and we used it daily. There's really just one road that runs along the island so all the parks are close to the road. I've seen others complain here about road noise, but I think you'd get that at any of the parks on S.H. 361. The sites are quite close together with just a 10 foot swatch of grass separating them. There are no trees whatsoever, that's the price you pay for being 300 yards from the beach. Shower and bathrooms located conveniently throughout the park. There were two swimming pools, which we didn't use in December. The club house calendar was full of activities for snowbirds staying for months. We were just visiting for a few days but made to feel welcome by the staff. We arrived Christmas Day and the office was closed. There was an envelope ready and waiting in the "late arrival" desk - well organized office ! Very good cable TV line up and great, fast WiFi service. There are several WiFi antennas throughout the park. A twenty-five cent trolley to town comes by hourly. Lots to do in the area.

This park is set among mature pecan trees amidst a working pecan growing operation. It is in a lovely valley on a quiet road. The setting was just fabulous on Thanksgiving weekend with the leaves at peak color. The photos on the website really don't do the place justice. The club house was new, done in "hill country" style with a large kitchen, several seating areas and a nice billiard room. Shower and restrooms were clean and nicely appointed. A covered outdoor patio overlooking the creek was a nightly gathering spot. WiFi signal was good close to the clubhouse, but service a bit slow. Limited TV channel lineup on the cable. The family who runs the place was very nice as were other visitors.
