We have been to this park a few times and gladly return any chance we get. They have recently redone the bathrooms, store, game room, roads, and graveled the RV landings. Also just added was a children's splash park. Our kids, ages 7-16, totally loved it; as well as the old favorites of the extra large pool, mini-golf, volleyball, full basketball courts, and swings. Larger fire pits were among the recent upgrades which was good news for my pyro husband. The staff is beyond courteous, always ready and willing to help. They even have activities planned for the kids every weekend whether in season or not. The park is super quiet, very well shaded, and has paved roads. Stay here and you won't be disappointed. We love it!
We stayed here on Labor Day weekend 2007 because it looked good in pictures and wasn't too far to drive. However, the majority of the RV campers were residents and were not on the friendly side. The kids got yelled at for riding their bikes around the camp too "noisily". The water in the swimming pond was scary and there was broken glass in the sand surrounding it. The playground was older than me! The only good thing is that the office staff was very helpful and nice. Regardless, we left first thing Saturday morning to go stay at another RV park. We will not stay here again unless the locals (aka: residents) change.
We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend in 2007. Our site was directly behind the pool and playground. We had full hook-ups, picnic table, and fire pit. Plenty of shade trees. The kids had so much fun using the pool and playground but also just riding their bikes down a large dirt hill. On Saturday we took a family hike led by the administration. Very low key and enjoyable. Can't wait to go back in 2008!
