This is a nice park with activities for the whole family. Many seasonal trailers here. Most of the people were friendly. The park owners were extremely friendly. Being a gay couple we don't always experience friendliness, but we would definitely camp here again. No cable tv, but we were able to get three local stations with rabbit ears.

We had reservations here. Reservations didn't require a credit card; we just emailed them. Very easy. The sites are pull through and gravel. Each site has a picnic table. Staff was friendly. The bathrooms and showers were clean. No pool or recreational area. I would stay again if I were in the area. Carthage has historical places to visit.

Everyone was friendly. We had a spot right near the bathrooms. The facilities were older, but well maintained and clean. The pool was inviting. There was lots of room to take a walk and enjoy the surroundings. As has been mentioned in other reviews it is noisy due to I-80 being so close. For many of the big rigs that have good insulation and noise buffering, this shouldn't be a huge problem. We were camping in a Aliner Alite, so we have solid insulated walls. We had the windows open as it was a cool night. We didn't have any fans or the air on. It was noisy, but we had a good night's sleep. We live in a busy city area with the airport nearby, so we might be less bothered by the noise than others. Very nice park. We definitely would stay again.

This was a great place to stay. It is a little off the beaten path, but it is definitely worth it. It sits on the Grand Lake. Everyone was friendly. The bathrooms, the showers, the pool and the store were very clean. Their are many activities to enjoy including horse shoes, basket ball, sitting on one of the many decks, also available for rental are ski boats, pontoons and jet skis. There was also a boat launch for guests. There is a small fee for the boat launch as the resort sits up quite high from the water. This was great this year as the Grand Lake was flooded. There are many RV's and manufactured homes for people who stay through out the year. The campground has cabins for rent as well. We were only there for one day, but thoroughly enjoyed our short stay.

Looking at the campground's web site, we expected a nice campground. That's not what we found. The person who checked us in was not friendly. The showers and bathroom were closed because they had painted them that day. It would seem reasonable that this would be done prior to the camping season. We made a reservation and told them we would be in a pop up, so they knew we were coming. We had to use a small bathroom off their Recreation room. The bathroom was dirty. Their were no showers. If a person wants to swim in one of their ponds/lakes, you'll have to pay extra, showers had we been able to use them are an extra cost, running your air conditioning is an extra cost. The mosquitos were terrible. We couldn't wait to get out of this campground. We would have left when we got there had we been sure that we wouldn't get charged. We wouldn't stay their again. It's off the beaten path and quiet, so if that's what you're looking for, check it out at your own risk, just be ready to pay and hopefully you'll have a better bathroom to use.

This is a family oriented park. They have many activities including: an arcade, free mini golf, volley ball, basketball, a playground, horse shoes, a heated pool, crafts for kids on Sunday mornings at a low cost, and tubing rentals. Coffee and cookies are served Saturday and Sunday mornings. Free popcorn Saturday nights with a wagon ride after. Local Amish come in on Saturday nights to sell baked goods and more. We spent a Saturday night here. Everyone was helpful and friendly. We had a great time in spite of the rain. We definitely will go back. The only drawbacks were the mens room had only two stalls and one shower. I was quite surprised I didn't have to wait to take a shower. The store is small. It is a room inside the owners manufactured home. If you have children, I'm sure there will be enough to keep them busy especially on the weekend.
