We found this nice campground by chance, looking for a place to settle while enjoying all the activities this part if Michigan has to offer, especially the canoeing and kayaking. The campground owners are friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and can direct you to all you are looking for. We found the wine tours and the scenery at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The campground is very clean as well as the bathrooms and showers. We enjoyed a full hookup, but there are beautiful rustic sites available. Our favorite part was no highway noise, only the nightly "woods" sounds and the birds. Some sand is the only reason this isn't a ten.
This is a very clean, and quiet park. The owner was very friendly and helpful in providing local places of interest and restaurants. The showers and bathroom and exceptionally clean, and are located in several areas int he park, making for easy access should you need them. Shade trees, and nice landscaping give this park a "country" type setting. Would definitely stay here again. We stayed for two nights on our way to Florida. The rate quoted was the Passport America rate.
This was one of the best finds on our entire trip. What a joy! The setting and owners are amazing. We found a wonderful place to rest and relax, and owners who have an incredible pride of ownership. We plan on returning for a much longer stay.
This was one of the nicest parks we have ever used. The staff was very friendly and professional (especially enjoyed the dinner recommendation for Brazos River Catfish Cafe). The bathrooms are exceptional - tiled, and very large. Laundry facility was reasonable and very clean. An overall pleasant, comfortable stay, and will definitely return if ever in the area. A bit of noise from the highway, but the facility was worth it!
