Pretty little campground. Nicest site are on the creek. FHU sites aren't on the creek. Owners very nice and very helpful. If you need internet or cell phone reception look elsewhere. There is absolutely no cell phone reception. The internet service provided by the campground was spotty at best. Often it was completely unavailable. sometimes you could get your email very slow but forget about going to any other internet sites.
This place is about as good as it gets if you're visiting Baltimore, but be prepared for a 45 minute drive. First the good: long, level, shady sites with adequate spacing. The staff in the office were pleasant and helpful. Grounds are well cared for and clean. Now the bad: Cable TV available at only a few sites for an additional $3 per day which seems high given the already too high fees. The electric was very low at times. (Down to 102 at one point.) In fairness, it was very hot. The laundry room had only 3 working machines, was not air-conditioned, too expensive, and dirty. Three machines was completely inadequate for a campground of this size (and price) and there was always a line. I know exactly the staff member on the golf cart, that the previous reviewer was referring to. He seemed to be wearing the same overalls every day and was quite rude to us as well. All other staff members were fine.
Stopped here for one night while getting work done on our coach in Bangor. Passport America rate was a real bargain for this very nice and very well run campground. Little restaurant onsite had inexpensive and tasty food. Nice long pullthroughs allowed us to stay hitched.
This was a lovely little campground. We had a shaded site, which was a short walk to the lake. The full hookups and lake access made this a very good value. Some of the sites were small, but ours was a good size. Some sites have a lake view. The lake had good fishing and boating. The campground has a small campstore/baitshop with a few basic groceries. There is a very nice disc golf course. Kayaks are available to rent.
We arrived in Florida a day ahead of schedule and needed a place to stay for one night. We lucked out and got a site on a Saturday night in March. We absolutely loved this place. Lovely campsites a short bike ride to the ocean beach. The sites are large, roomy, private, and beautiful. Did I mention that it has full hook-ups? We were happy to pay the $31 and considered it a bargain.
Spring for one of the water view sites. You won't regret it. The closer you are to the water, the more you'll see. We had fabulous water views of the Pocomoke Sound on 3 sides. There was a truck camper rally at the park while we were there. What a fun bunch! The campground held a Sunday breakfast that was quite good. We'll be back!
Nice large sites with full hook-ups that backed up to a pond. Nice pool/water park that is open to non-campground guests was on premises. Main problem is that our site was literally COVERED with goose droppings from the geese that live on the small pond. Made the patio completely unusable.
This was a nice place to stop on our way to Florida. The sites were very large pull throughs, but really just a big parking lot. There was no highway noise although it was very close to 95, but there was a significant amount of noise from the planes at the nearby Jacksonville airport. They start about 6am and really "rock your world!" The folks who work there were very nice, and we enjoyed visiting the large flea market/farmer's market right next door.
We didn't expect much, but were very pleasantly surprised. This is a very nice campground with decent-sized attractive sites and full-hook-ups. We stopped here on our way to Florida and were very pleased. We didn't stay long enough to see the pool.
Like the earlier poster, we were mystified how this campground received good marks by both Trailer Life and Woodall's. Camping here was like camping in a rest stop with hookups! The highway was so close we could have given traffic reports! Ear plugs were essential to get any sleep. We did get full hookups and a pull-through site, so it made for an easy stop, but, we would never stay here again. There was only one restroom open (signs on the other restrooms said closed for the season, but this park was full. The one restroom that was open was out of toilet paper.
