Beautiful setting. The Wi-Fi was a problem for the first month of our stay. We spent the entire winter here. On weekends the locals come here to camp and let the children run wild. We had to call camp security several time due to late night noise. The clubhouse is a screened in shelter with no heat or air conditioning, so most activities are limited. They have the nicest laundry building I have ever seen. Because of the nearness of the bad side of town be sure to lock up your outside equipment. The entire staff was well trained and did a good job.
Outstanding Park. Has generous amount of space. There is free cable TV and WiFi. It's located a half mile from I-75 and there is a choice of fast food. Everything was clean and well kept. Very kid friendly with a big pool and great playground and enough open mowed space to play baseball.
This is a very much improved park. The interior roads have been graded. Free wifi and TV. The office stays open until 8pm. There is a nice play area for the kids and a pool. They have large old growth trees that provide shade. All the sites are pull through. This is a very quiet park and has only a small number of long term residents. Now that the I-75 repair project is winding up this will become one of my favorite stops in South Georgia.
Good location near I-75. Interior roads are in bad shape. There seemed to be a large number of all year residents. The park seems rundown. The people in the office were very friendly and helpful. The pull through sites are down the hillside and well away from freeway noise. Excellent one night stop, I would not stay here more that a few days.
This is an excellent place to hide out for the winter. Our rent is slightly less than 500 a month for the 4 months of winter. They have huge spaces. It's very quiet here and there are no neighbors for miles. It has a very affordable golf course and a place for boating and fishing. It takes about 20 minutes to drive to either the town of LaBelle or Clewiston. If your looking for a quiet, affordable, warm and pleasant place this winter I highly recommend this park.
They bill themselves as an RV resort, yet 90% of this park is for mobile homes and park models. It is also more of a retirement village than a campground. It's totally sold out to snowbirds in winter and they make a little extra money renting empty spaces out to transient RV's off season. They have ton's of activities here and the 2 clubhouses seem to have something going on every day. They have an excellent walking trail that features alligators. It's about 2 miles to a gas station and 6 miles to a grocery store or fast food. It's located close to I-75 and you can drive to St Petersburg in about 20 minutes.
A perfect place for a quick, easy and comfortable night if you are in transit to Florida. It has huge concrete pads with plenty of shade trees. The park is located just far enough off the road to make it quiet. I will stay here again.
This park was about half full of the families of construction workers. Their trucks took off to work at dawn every day and returned at dusk. There was no drinking going and all were well behaved. This park is very well run. Management worked hard to make it a happy and quiet campground. This is a good place for kids. Lots of mature trees.
We spent 3 months here last winter. We are not going back this year. The campground itself was very nice. The people who worked there also very nice. The best thing about this place is that it's located on the very edge of town with a paved sidewalk into town. It takes about 15 minutes to bike to the grocery store and hardware. The town is a good location for visiting both the Ft. Myers area on the Gulf of Mexico and Miami on the Atlantic. The town has a small movie theater that was very nice. The town has no movie rental store. The very worst thing about this park is the near by sugar plant. The smell is truly awful. We would leave town when there was a Southwest wind. That is why we will not return. Another thing about this park is that 90% of the campers are from French Canada, so most of the activities are in French. Everyone was super nice to us but we still felt a little left out.
