This is in a great location within an hour of most major attractions. The disappointment was we reserved the dates by phone and arrived two days early. The staff said you could not reserve a particular space only dates but that was untrue. When we arrived, they gave us a space but said we had to move the next morning because someone was coming in the next am. Lie, no one showed for three days. We moved for what? The people that showed did request that space another lie. I had chosen this campground partly for amenities needed like laundry and Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi needed for work communication and laundry to clean cloths. 2 out of 3 washers and 1 of 2 dryers were broke the 5 days we stayed for 105 sites. They were working on the roads and the water was muddy for one day with no warning causing campers to drain and flush their water systems. How fun on vacation! The internet worked sometimes. We booked for 2 weeks and cut it short to 5 days due to all the above. They seemed disorganized and uncaring. I would only stay here again under duress.
Great place to stay if you want to go downtown. Very clean showers, laundry, bathrooms, and day room with TV, a few books, games, and mag's. Friendly staff. Close to downtown 15 minutes. No diesel on post. Pull throughs have no shade or tables and are gravel but fairly level. Very quite. Large dog run with pick up bag dispensers. I would stay here again.
Hard to find but glad we stayed here. Clean washers/dryers, bathrooms, showers. Secluded very quit area behind the hospital. Large dog run area. Friendly staff. Pretty close to the downtown Riverwalk, about 10-15 minutes . I noticed pull through sites don't have shade trees. Good level sites with tables and lots of room for slides. Nice place and would stay here again.
I must have been to a different park. I was hesitant after reading other reviews but my family has a very different opinion and glad we chose this place. Although my family used our travel trailer for showers and restrooms I did take a peek and the facilities appeared clean and kept. The grounds were clean and kept. Wi-Fi worked great and so did cable TV. There were two large garbage cans similar to other RV parks around by an entry but other RV'ers were respectful and kept the lids closed. There is a nice dog walk outside the park fence by the road and it appeared clean of doggie dew, again other RV'rs were respectful. No land mines noted in the park but didn't go looking for it. There are about 1/2 sites with some shade. Pads were fairly level but may need blocks if you want perfection. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Walking distance to downtown. Served breakfast 7-11 but may close early if business is slow. We didn't eat but the homemade biscuits n gravy smelled good. Stayed during Wyatt Earp days. Great time. Close to lots and lots of ghost towns and some 4 wheel'n dirt stuff too. 2nd time to Tombstone and if we come this way again we would stay here for sure.
The spaces are close but I wasn't here for the park. I was here to enjoy New Orleans and surrounding area. New Orleans is 10 minutes, white sandy beaches are 50 minutes away. Great little place close to downtown. Train switch yard at the rear but not noisy and reminiscent of an earlier time in New Orleans history. Very friendly owners. I will stay here again when passing through in our travels. They gave 10% military discount too.
