Stay away from road AA if it rains. This whole row is lower than the rest of the campground. We were swimming in our site. Other than the rude lady at the front when we were flooded the staff was friendly and ample. The owner "comped" us three large pizzas for the conduct of his employee. The rest rooms were maintained well. Bugs weren't too bad, and weather was great 75% of the time. It was very crowded over the 4th of July, of course. I've been to this KOA 3 times in 4 years. They are steadily making improvements every time I have been there. On this trip there was a new big inflatable movie screen they would set out on the beach, and a big sand trampoline apparatus for the kids.
A great beach campground. Wildlife so tame you'd think you were in a Doctor Dolittle movie. The bugs are murder! You're in deep trouble without some strong spray. Site was large and well spaced from the other campers. Lots of palm/palmetto trees surround the area. No sewer hookups-I don't believe any SC parks do though. Bathhouses were outdated, another sc park thing I think. Not that I would expect a KOA type bathhouse for the price. We spent 4th of July week there and for the money, I think it's hard to beat. The beach is beautiful!!!
A State park with much to do such as hiking, fishing, and exploring. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Bathhouses were outdated, typical state park facilities are cleaned only once a day. (Don't expect KOA type cleanliness) Table Rock is located in a beautiful part of S.C.
