This campground was very nice and somewhat secluded. Since we were here after Labor Day and in the middle of a very rainy period (all 5 days), it was not heavily occupied. The sites are a bit shorter than we're used to, but adequate for our truck and 33-foot fifth-wheel. Our site was perfectly level side-to-side, a bit steep front to back, but nothing that can't be accommodated. As an aside, we drove to another nearby COE campground, Brady Mountain, and this one is far superior.

We liked this campground very much, and will return if in the area. It was unfortunate that we had solid rain for the entire 4 days, but the campground itself held up well, considering. We parked in the "B" loop, on the waterfront. We expected to kayak and bike, and it would have been a perfect site if we could have done so. There are a number of sites back in the woods ("E" loop?) which are really secluded and scenic.

Very nice state park. There is a lake with swimming, boating and fishing about a third of a mile from the camping area. The campground was full up the weekend we were there, yet it was peaceful and very quiet by 10 PM. This was our second visit, and we will be back.

This State Park campground on Beaver Lake is very well maintained and has a very friendly, but very small staff. We go here once or twice a year for fishing and boating. Sites are paved and relatively level, all with "patio" space, a concrete picnic table and fire ring. Very quiet at night.

This was the second time we stayed in this park. Enjoyed the river setting, nice wide sites, good hook-ups. The absence of trees out on the river sites would be bad news in mid-summer, but a non-issue in spring and fall. Gives good access to Memphis and all that is there.

Only stayed one night, wish it had been more. Nice blend of shade and sun, relatively level sites. If you choose a "pull-through" site, don't set your expectations too high, as they are pretty severely curved. The wifi was very good. We'll go back here next time we're in the area, and spend a few days. The beach and walking trails are very, very nice.

A nice state park campground. Staff was very friendly and helpful, gave us a lot of assistance when we needed to locate a vehicle repair facility. This place will be even nicer as the trees grow back. The only downgrade I'm giving is the slow wifi speed (and they are quick to point this out, even when checking in. I learned that they are using satellite uplink, so bandwidth is at a premium).

We stayed one night while driving through, and the campground was fine, in spite of the fact that it rained. Yes, the area is a fine gravel parking lot and it does get wet and sloppy, but this not a spot where you are going for the environment, since there are no trees and it is a downtown location. The staff was very friendly, even loaned us a 50 to 30 amp converter as our site was 50 amp only at the box.

This is a great little find, especially if you are biking on the Katy Trail. Only 3 miles from the casino in Boonville. We've been to this park a couple of times and enjoy it for something different. If you're looking for top-of-the-line RV park experience, this is not it. This is what I'd call a do-it-yourself campground. The owners are available if needed, but they both work full time and the office is not staffed all day. In fact, self check-in is the norm. It also has a wonderful display of railroad memorabilia, since this used to be the MKT railroad train yards for the area. The old round table is still there, though somewhat overgrown. We camp here, then ride the bike trail several miles up- and down- stream to wonderful Missouri River valley views. The campground is very quiet, last time there the coyotes they were a howling!! We will return a couple of times a year. For those traveling through, it's worth the 5 or 6 miles off I-70 you have to go to get there.

What a nice place for a stop-over. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Will certainly stay here again when we pass that way.

We enjoyed this park a lot. Though we were "in the back" with a number of monthly residents, it was still clean, pleasant and quiet. We will know, next time, to select the areas out by the river. Our only issue with this park is their wi-fi access; while signal strength is great, the bandwidth was very slim. E-mail pages would take many minutes to load, if at all. But, all in all, we loved it an will likely return again as a great base for visiting Memphis.

This is a nice KOA. Not the most level sites in the world, but nothing the levelers couldn't handle.

The campground itself is OK, maybe a tad below average for a KOA. It was probably bad luck, but there were apparently several long term campers in the park, and they were rude and noisy. To have your neighbor start his diesel right next to your open bedroom window, and laugh and joke with his buddies at 5:00 AM will spoil an experience. To be fair, when we complained to the manager on departure, he said he'd take care of it, but that couldn't salvage a lost overnight.

This campground is the best! Wonderful hosts, great view of the bluffs, nice watered lawns. Amazing. We were only there a couple of days, but if you could pick this campground up and move it where there is a little more to do, what a place it would be.

The campground had wonderful shade, which was very welcome in the heat of the plains. The sites were nice. Satellite access was touch and go due to all the trees, but it worked out. My only complaint was that WiFi was only available near the office. Our site was perhaps 50 yards from the office, but I still had to walk up there to get access.

We enjoyed this campground. The staff was extremely helpful and happy. We had a minor problem with our hitch and they were quick to provide a couple of tools I needed to repair. The services all worked great. Our original assigned site was full sun, but the staffer suggested an alternate shaded site, checked its availability, and moved us right over. We were there 5 days and loved the area and campground.

If you are looking for an overnight stop as you travel across South Dakota, this campground does just fine. I'd say a bit pricey, but as a KOA franchise this is to be expected. Everything worked just fine, the folks were nice, and we managed to get to the one store and one gas station while they were open!

This park was exactly what we expected. Yes, it is next to the freeway and, yes, there is significant traffic noise. This is a good KOA franchise and we were pleased with our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
