We have "motorcycle tent camped" here a number of times over the years. Tent sites are on the highest level and have fantastic views. You cannot park your vehicle at the tent sites, but carts are provided to move your gear the few feet necessary, An inconvenience, but the ocean view makes up for it a thousand times over. Every time we have camped here (Winter usually) we've had the entire tent camping area to ourselves. A little expensive (can't remember the exact amount) , but what the heck, not too many "ocean view" options in Malibu. Our experience was that the staff was very nice and friendly, no issues whatsoever for us. Security wandered around a few times which is great. We hoped to walk to a restaurant, but nothing was too close....ended up walking along Highway 1 taking our lives into our own hands to get to a convenience store. We also own a large motor home and I wouldn't want to bring it in here as it is pretty tight quarters. I rated them an "8" due to the cost for a tent space and poor location to other services.
We really enjoyed are stay here and the managers are Great!!!. We spent a month so not sure what the nightly rate is. The managers are the greatest. There were different social gatherings throughout the month...free breakfast gatherings, movie night, wine tasting gathering, etc. We had a great "view" site above the town with a beautiful view of the valley. There is a Trap Club behind the RV Park, but never had any issues as they only meet twice a week and never start up too early. A nice little Diner is just down the hill. All in all we would not hesitate to return. Only complaint was the "Goat Heads" which are thick on the property and track into the rig with every entrance. Pet owners had to watch their pets I imagine.
Sites too narrow and unlevel. Lots of "landscaping" boulders which clog the already too small roads. Lots of mud on the edges when it rained. Dead tree branches sticking out everywhere. The entire place was overgrown. Scratched the sides of our 38' motorhome trying to maneuver into a site that wasn't near big enough. NOT big-rig friendly at all (or medium sized for that matter). They should not allow any rigs over 30' in the place. We left after one night and went to another campground with enough room for our rig / car. Who ever designed this place only had tents in mind. Will never stay there again.
We stayed for an extended 30 day stay, so rate was very reasonable. Nice folks managing the park. Had minimal interaction with the managers. Laundry area was clean. Some evenings the park was quite busy and other nights we had the whole place to ourselves. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Only complaint was an occasional "sewer" stink coming from somewhere. Could not ever figure out where it came from.
Can't remember the nightly rate so my estimate is a guess. Easy access from the freeway. We have stayed here many times over the years. Owner takes great pride in the park. They keep "files" on all visitors to "weed out" any undesirable folks, which is a good thing in our opinion. All "back in" spaces in the park, but plenty of room to maneuver if you know how to drive. Long term RV parking options around Billings are "nil" so this park is a great choice and value compared to the other over priced parks in the area. My only complaint is the cottonwood trees constantly spewing something earthward, but no big deal.
We were here for a month for business. Easy access and large pull through sites. "No frills" park but lots of room and friendly folks about. Gravel roads and spaces. We had a lot of rain and no mud. Owners were nice and pretty much leave folks to themselves. A few long term residents, but no issues for us. I don't think they had restrooms or showers, but we don't use public facilities anyway. Would stay here again.
