This is another nice provincial campground in Northern Saskatchewan. Campsites are all decent back-in sites, well treed and many with 15/30 amp power. Water is available throughout the campground. There are four private unisex bathroom/showers, which is nice. Park is kept clean. The beach is a bit of a walk (near the boat launch). This place is mainly all about the fishing, nothing extra but still a very good northern forest experience. Very hard to get an electrical campsite in prime times. This is not a large campground and many sites are seasonal. Best plan ahead if you want to stay in this park.
The road to this park (off Highway 16) still has not improved any, very slow and rough. We've been to this park several times and always enjoyed our stay. Decent back-in campsites, most with power and well treed. Water is available throughout the campground. It is evident this area has suffered heavy rains and flooding conditions the last few years, resulting in trees dying off in some areas. Campground has a great beach and a nice walk to the sand dunes is a must. This is a provincial park so a park pass is an additional fee. Couldn't see how this park justified the $5/night raise in camp fee. All SK Provincial parks now have an online reservation system which works well, however a person has to be very strategic trying to get a power site for more than a couple days during July and Aug. You might get lucky but best to plan ahead.
This is one of our favourite places to camp. Don't be fooled by its southern Saskatchewan location, it is still within the Boreal Forest and offers everything the Northern Saskatchewan forest has. We have (to date) camped in 215 different campgrounds throughout Canada and the U.S. and have never seen so many spacious and private campsites in one campground, and many are pull-throughs. In 2014 there were many noticeable improvements with a lot more electrical sites and a new shower house. A new sewer dump and parking area is also in progress. There are only about 15 or so full hookup sites and the rest are 15/30 amp power with water available throughout the park. Wonderful hiking/biking trails. High waters has overcome the beach area at the campground but the main beach a short drive away is very spacious and beautiful with lots of sand, grass, and trees. Throughout July and August the park offers many different ways to participate and enjoy the park. We enjoyed "Saskatchewan Express" performance on stage at the main beach, showcasing excellent local talent. Keep in mind this is a Saskatchewan Provincial Park with an online reservation system so it could be difficult getting a site on short notice (during high season) for more than a day or so. Best to plan ahead and reserve early.
A basic campground along I-90 and you will know you're right beside the Interstate the entire time you're in camp - very noisy! Gravel roadways and level sites with some grass between sites. The bathrooms and shower house appear to be a new building and it is awesome and roomy enough to respect each others space, it is kept clean with plenty of hot water. Didn't check out the laundry facility but it's also part of the new building so I'm sure its good. Wi-Fi was a little slow at times, but adequate. Cable TV is an extra charge which is alright with me as I don't mind paying for only the services I'm using.
Host was friendly and accommodating, escorting each guest to their site. Well kept campground with many well cared for flower pots and arrangements. This is an overall nice campground with level sites with grass. Unfortunately it's quite noisy with a nearby train tracks and Interstate traffic. Wi-Fi was a little slow at times but manageable. Was a nice stay.
Super friendly people on check in and very helpful with the "what to do's" in the area. The location was convenient only two blocks to the Bill Cody museum and walkable to the main street tourist shops. The only reason a higher rating was not given was due to the very close camp sites and the neighbours sewer drain in your tiny space. Big rigs were accommodated better with sidewalks and some with concrete pads. Truck campers and small units always get the crappy site. Next time maybe we'll bring our 5th wheel.
The first thing that comes to mind is the bathroom and shower house was worth the high price of admission - they were excellent. The sites are very tight together which reflected the rating given. Otherwise the location to Yellowstone Park and the town of Gardiner was convenient. Wifi and utilities worked fine.
Typical National Park camping so we know what to expect and there were no disappointments. It appears pretty rough terrain for tents with no designated tent pads. So for anyone tenting, depending on your site, it could be a pretty bumpy and unlevel sleep. This is one of the few reservable campgrounds in the park so it's easily overlooked for tenters.
A great place for a short stay. Easy access on and off Interstate, not far from the busy highway yet the campground was reasonably quiet. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating and proud of their campground. Great private bathrooms and showers which were clean. Didn't use the pool, not sure if it's heated, also a small playground with slide etc. for kids Only about 3 miles drive east of Miles City. The campground did fill up so would recommend reservations during the busy season. Would certainly stay again.
For whatever reason the gal at check in didn't want to sell us a Good Sam membership. After some persistence she sold us the membership and applied the discount. The campground is quite nice. Lots of long term campers but still enough sites for others. Campground has shade trees, but does not provide privacy. Sites are decently spaced and level, but hook up location isn't great. We managed okay. Bathrooms/showers were good, as well as, the laundry facility. We enjoyed the campground and walking trail so much that we stayed an extra night.
Stayed here both coming and going to another destination. The campground is clean with easy navigating a back in site with 5th wheel. Sites are level but very close to neighbours. Probably depends on where your site is located but ours was pretty noisy beside a very busy street. An overflow site with power is available for a much reduced fee only if campground is full. Over flow is all we needed for an overnight stay but they still want to take every dollar out of you when they can. Steep rates for what you get and wifi is extra!
Basic check in took longer than it should have, pretty slow that day. Well treed campground with paved roadways and sites. Sites are decently spaced. Bathrooms/showers were adequate. Wifi only available in common area. Rental cabana area eliminated what would have been a wonderful river view. Nice beach area along the river but don't expect a sand beach. Enjoyed the hiking trails from the park trail head. Enjoyed our stay and overall a good park.
Entire campground is gravel with just a few trees here and there. Sites are pretty close, side by side in rows. Lady was very pleasant at check in. There is a pool but didn't use it, laundry looked okay and bathroom/showers were good. Really can't see this place as a destination, we were here for an overnight stop when traveling thru.
Very nice and welcoming people operate this campground. There are security gates to get into the campground. Roadways and sites are gravel. Bathrooms/showers are immaculate, among the best there are! Laundry facility is also good. Heavy Interstate noise 24/7 no matter which site you're in.
Gal at check in was abrupt but she softened when she saw we were happy, friendly people. This was just an overnight stop so was given an overflow site with poorly located hook ups. Lots of other sites available but truck camper people are not usually given good sites even though we pay the same rate. Bathrooms/showers were nice and clean. Overall, it appeared to be a decent place.
We had a wonderful stay here, people are very nice and made several new friends. Campground is under new management and working to make improvements. Well treed with sand roadways and sites. A short walk to the beach with a long fishing pier. All utilities and wifi worked well, laundry room okay. A quiet campground compared to our previous stay at another location. So much so I thought I woke up deaf. I couldn't hear anything!! We enjoyed our time here so much it's hard to speak of the negatives, but the fact is - Bathrooms/showers are in desperate need of complete replacement. Even though it was (somewhat) cleaned regularly the entire building is very old and tired. Only one shower available with the second being out of order. Many very old RV's with long term residents. I think clean up is in progress.... This campground has good potential and wish them well. We hope to be back some day.
Staff are pleasant and helpful and resort is kept very clean in all regards. Bathrooms/showers are individually private, very nice and clean. Concrete roadways and sites. Only a few trees here and there but nice to be close to the beach. Pool area is nice. It is evident the owner is trying to give that top end resort feeling along with the high rate but we wouldn't say they're quite there yet. To date, we have stayed in 206 different campgrounds/resorts and without question this was the noisiest place we have ever stayed. We were given a site beside the hwy that never let up. Only basic amenities are available, nothing extra. We found another place in the area we enjoyed much more.
This is nothing more than a decent place to spend the night when travelling thru. The campground is well treed around the parameter but sites are simply stacked side by side in rows on gravel. Fire ants were horrible. Utilities and wifi all good. People were friendly.
This campground has new ownership and although much work has been done to fix it up, there's lots yet to do. People are very friendly and welcoming and we appreciate their efforts. Music and entertainment on the patio most nights. Bathrooms/showers are new and excellent in all regards. Wifi seldom worked, too many shabby RV's that doesn't offer a very comforting feeling. A noisy campground with traffic and trains that go thru pretty steady, right beside the campground, but at least the train doesn't blow it's horn. Hopefully in time to come much improvements will take place.
Probably a nice place for family camping, suitable more as a holiday destination rather than an overnight stop when traveling thru. Could sure use better signage along the hwy. If you're not familiar where it is, you won't see it until you drive by. Site we were given was dirt and not at all level. Bugs were horrendous! Nice trees, good utilities. Price was a little steep for what we got.
This is a very nice campground. Lots of trees, good paved roadways and sites. Campsites are nicely spaced, some more private than others. Wifi only available at some sites but can be accessed at the office parking area. Nice pool, laundry, store, etc. Everything clean especially the bathrooms/showers very spacious and nice, staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunately rates are higher on weekends. A large well run campground, would love to return to some day.
The first thing that comes to mind is the misuse of the word "Luxury". This is NO Luxury RV Resort, although in all fairness the campground was clean, had good roadways and nice concrete pads, all utilities were excellent and friendly people. No shade trees just a lot of concrete. The bathrooms and showers were cleaned but not very well. The shower stall did NOT have a hook, bench or anything to put towel and clothes on, only the floor!! Yet a sign was posted on the wall with instructions on how we should clean the hair out of the drain before leaving! I thought that was a lot of nerve for a place that calls themselves "Luxury" and the bathroom/showers never properly cleaned to begin with. Only stayed one night, found a much nicer place to be.
We arrived just prior to campground closing season mid November and grateful this place was available for late season travelers. Due to cold temps; water was not available at the site, but we could still fill our water tank prior to parking. Easy on and off Interstate and far enough away not to hear any traffic noise. Probably a very nice place during the prime season. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Sites are level gravel with an easy pull thru. Bathrooms and showers were very good. Will definitely keep this place in mind for future travels.
This is a 55+ campground but more accurately is really 70 to 99 age group and yes, there is a 99 year old resident! Very well organized with plenty of activities for the long term resident. Everything is kept immaculately clean and staff is all very helpful and pleasant. There are more park models than RV spaces so be sure to call ahead during the busy season. We stayed in a patio site which was nice compared to the basic site with no table. When the park is full expect to be in very close contact with your camp neighbours, the good side to that is everyone we met was very friendly. The heated pool was the warmest we've ever experienced. The location is close to shopping but expect traffic noise, especially sirens every day and throughout the night. The campground is gated overnight and we felt safe at all times. The rate was pretty steep for a short stay even after the Good Sam discount but it covered a lot of activities we didn't take advantage of.
This is a great park to experience the natural desert and enjoy a beautiful sunset. The gravel sites are nicely spaced with a few trees and paved roadways. There are some good hiking trails in the area and close to the Desert Museum. The only reason this was not rated higher is because the bathrooms could use some sprucing up and there are no showers!! You can only stay for a maximum of one week and be absent for two weeks before returning. We enjoyed our time at this campground.
The rate was based on a weekly rate of $225. This RV Park is 11 miles outside Galveston which made it great for very little traffic noise and a gulf view right across the road. Many basic services are nearby, like hardware, gas, restaurants etc. Beach access was within walking distance. Staff and other quests are all very friendly and welcoming. Easy concrete pull through pads with good utilities and WiFi. Two nice pools available, especially enjoyed the adult swim up bar pool, an awesome place where you can bring your own cocktail and meet new friends! Also a 30 person hot tub in the making. We didn't use the interesting put and bounce or laundry facility but I'm sure it's all good. Very clean and roomy shower house. Everything was clean and well maintained. The only disappointment was the one nearby neighbour (friends of the owners) that barked louder than their two yappy dogs every time someone walked by. Most dog owners have well behaved dogs but obviously not all. Would recommend this location.
A good location brought us here, outside Rockport yet centrally located to Port Aransas and Corpus Christi. Great shade and wind shelter under live oak trees. Much caution is needed for anyone with big rigs because of many tight turns and low hanging limbs, But usually can be navigated. Awesome concrete pads, good utilities, and Wi-Fi. The staff and other guests were all very friendly and a pleasure to visit with. However, we do have to state the bath house was inadequate with only one unisex bathroom with shower in a cabin. Although this one bathroom was given a quick surface clean, much was missed. The laundry facility was okay but the rec room was messy and cluttered. Apparently, upgrades and expansion is planned but nothing happening anytime soon that we could see. It was the pleasant people and location that made this an enjoyable stay.
We just needed a quick overnight stop and chose this location because the reviews were not horrible and the rates were reasonable, we didn't want to pay for a pool we weren't going to use. Attention campers - a correction needs to be made to the reviews. The office was locked even though someone was inside. We followed the late check in instruction, even though it was only 4:00 p.m. If Wi-fi was available we wouldn't know as no one was around to offer a password and no information available, only threatening notes from "the Chief" not to try leaving without paying cause he will find you! Couldn't use the bathrooms as they were filthy and disgusting, waste baskets hadn't been emptied for a very long time and no toilet paper available. We spoke to our camp neighbor that said they were at this location on a previous visit and the place was full of workers. Since then the oil and work in the area has dried up and not a dime made in the good times has been put back into the place. Stay here only if you are desperate and totally self contained and don't mind heavy I-10 traffic noise. We definitely will never stay here again.
