This is a beautiful park in a peaceful setting. The sites are fairly short for longer units and some sites are not level. We blocked four inches on one side to level our fifth wheel. There are a lot of shared water hook-ups, and longer hoses are needed for some. Ours was 60 feet away. No sewer connections, but they have a dump station. There is a small fishing lake, a Bison herd, miniature golf and a museum. A nice place to get away for a few days.
We attended a rally here (third time). The sites are long and flat, but no shade and you need long sewer hoses, electric cords and water hose for connections. The train tracks are right next to the campground and the trains run day and night, with a lot of whistle blowing. It is an excellent facility for a rally or show, but not what I would consider for a campground. They do not allow any campfires.
Large pull through sites in the woods with plenty of room between sites. The bath houses were spotless, even though the park was fairly full. There is no reservation system and the Friday and Saturday night racetrack noise is the only detractor from the park. I would definitely return.
We spent four nights here and really enjoyed the campground and the owners. They were extremely friendly and helpful. The overall facility was very clean and the bathrooms were spotless. The sites are close together which accounts for the 9 instead of 10, but overall, a great place to stay.
This is a beautiful state park, with lots of room between sites. We had a pull through that gave us plenty of room for an extra vehicle. The grounds and buildings were well maintained and very clean. The museum was closed on Monday, so we didn't get a chance to visit, but did enjoy some of the outside displays. The flowering trees and shrubs were beautiful. I will stay here again.
This is a small park on the south end of town. It was a do-it-yourself check in. No one in the office, so put your money in the envelope and pick a site. After we got set up, I saw that there were several available sites with sewer hook up, although our site didn't have one. I still haven't found a dump station. Some of the sites are long and level. All sites are grass and after the rain, tend to be a little muddy in places. The entrance road is full of pot holes. The toilets and showers need a good cleaning. They have a laundry room and free book exchange.
When we arrived to register, the manager acted as though I was an inconvenience and seemed annoyed that I interrupted his Real Estate dealings. The rest of the work campers that we encountered were very friendly, helpful and considerate. The park needed a good clean up from limbs, beer cans and trash blowing around. I picked up a bunch of plastic bags and cans and found one trash can overflowing but another one empty. I would stay here again if in the area but only because it is Passport America.
This is a beautiful RV Park, and the Managers and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The sites are gravel, large and level. Everything in and around the park is immaculate. The rules of the park were very clear and seemed to be enforced. I would definitely return.
Overall, it is a nice park. The negatives are: $2.00 for one load of wash & $1.50 to dry one load. The faucet hook-up for the water to our RV leaked badly and when reported to the manager, his comment was "They all do it after the winter." The positives are: The bath rooms were immaculate, the sites are gravel and level, although quite close to each other. Very convenient to good shopping. The workers were very friendly.
This is a small, quiet, family oriented park with a long frontage on the river and beautiful mountain scenery behind the park. The sites are gravel and level. There is no sewer, but they have a dump station. Fishing in the river is good with some very big Catfish and they have a fish cleaning station. The owners are very friendly and accommodating.
This is a nice Corps of Engineers Campground. They have a good day use area with covered picnic tables and a swim beach. There are back in and pull through RV sites. They have a dump station and a fish cleaning station. It is right on the river and far enough off of the interstate so that you don't hear much traffic noise. There are a few first come sites but most can be reserved.
This is a beautiful and extremely well maintained park in the middle of the city. The managers and assistant managers were very pleasant and helpful. We spent two nights there and it was quiet and comfortable. They have a small enclosed dog run with the necessities to clean up after your pet. There is any type of shopping you could ask for, from within walking distance to several miles away. Don't be in a hurry to leave the park, because the street is busy. I would recommend making advanced reservations because the park was full when we were there.
This is a great family oriented park. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Everything was neat and clean. They delivered firewood right to my site. The store had all necessary food and beverages and the prices were very competitive.
