Otter Lake was a perfect fit for the week! The Pocono Mountains area is beautiful. Looked for a few weeks for a vacation rental or resort or hotel that would accommodate our black lab. In the end, we chose to take the rv and take a camping trip instead. Cost was about 1/2 compared to hotel (and that includes gas) Plus we got to sleep in our own bed and have our bestest furry kid along with us for the week! This camping resort was very busy. Lots of families. They have an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, a beautiful stocked lake that campers can also use for canoe, pedal boat and row boat rentals! The camp store has the basics and a few gifts too. Daily antique fire truck rides are a trademark of theirs. Cute & Classic. We had full hookup, including cable & wi-fi at our site!! Our site was spacious and shaded. Perfectly picked right across from the lake front beach area. All roads are well maintained. Clean campground. True family camping at it's best! I wish we would have stayed when our daughter was young! We would highly recommend this camp resort! The only complaint I can think of is the 7 mile winding back road to get there was a bit much. We did travel out to get a "good meal" for our anniversary. Alaska Pete's was the closest. If the campground had a restaurant, we would have stayed. They do have ice cream, so we did enjoy dessert a few times! One of the best camping trips I have ever been on! Would love to go back!

We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back!! We purchased a 2 night stay through Groupon and upon arrival were pleasantly surprised with a full hook up vs. the electric and water site paid for! They just finished the upgrade of adding sewer to the row we stayed in. Campground has many amenities. The swimming pool was great and the adult pool is a nice addition. Both were busy at times. But I did get one swim in with only one other guest! Nice & quiet! The camp store has anything you could need. Mini golf was fun. Bathroom/Showers were clean and well lit. Many many permanent campers & golf carts. But, still enough room for folks like us, who travel with our RV, and do not park it year round. A short walk to Lake Erie. Beautiful view. Very close to Geneva on the Lake resort town. Super busy in June. Campground has a gas station, decent restaurant and the campground is very large. I went for an early morning jog with my black lab, all the way to the back past the pond which runs along the middle of the property. Staff was very friendly & helpful! We will for sure stay again!!

This was our second stay at Geneva State Park Campground. We had a great time. Bathroom/Shower building is clean. Ceiling in the ladies room above the shower needs painted. Grounds are kept neat & tidy. Spacious sites. Many sites to chose from. Less busy this year. Probably due to cooler weather this year first week of October, compared to last. Laundry facility attached to previously mentioned shower building was clean and affordable, & so happy it was there!! We will definitely be back again! Full hook up at a State Park is a nice plus! Campground is super close to town(Geneva on the Lake), we rode our bikes along Lake Erie & The trail is fantastic! Beautiful scenery!

We have stayed here before. This time was much different than previously. The park ranger on staff on one of the nights of our stay was just out to give anyone and everyone a hard time about anything and everything he could! One morning- trees were being cut down with a chainsaw about 3 sites away from us (a bit of noise). This state park is very pretty. Plenty of activities. We stayed in the same campsite as we had previously. This one suits us perfectly. The shower/restroom building is well lit, kept clean, and centrally located. This pet friendly camping area is one that we will return to when we need some down time!

We had a nice time staying here. We chose the hillside area(which is pet friendly). Our campsite was occupied when we arrived. We had to wait until after the check-out time. Unfortunately the check-in time is at that same time. Perhaps the park should change these 2 times by at least an hour. Lots of mud made set up a bit gooey. The bathroom facility was clean and centrally located. The temperature inside was extremely hot! The ceiling heat should have been shut off, or the thermostat adjusted. This heat made you want to run from the building and get back outside to the fresh cool spring air! During my 3rd shower, one evening, the automatic timer for the lights shut off. Pitch black- walking from the shower stall all lathered in soap to the opposite side of the bathroom to wave my arms to turn the lights back on! We all took a long nature walk, and also walked through the lakeside camping area (which is not pet friendly). While on that walk, my husband used the restroom in that section. He told me to go in and check out the women's side... WOW! what a difference. Completely different experience! This building has ceramic tile floors vs. the concrete floor in the hillside camping. The lakeside toilet/shower building and area is more beautiful than ANY campground shower facility that I have seen to date! The lake and surrounding areas/trails are very nice. Overall I am giving the campground an 8 on a scale of 10. We loved camping on a Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Would definitely return. Just wish pets were allowed in the lakeside area. Our black lab had a great time anyway, but a lakeside view and that restroom upgrade would be worth it for all of us!

We had a wonderful stay at Geneva State Park! This Campground was one of the cleanest state parks that we have been to. The roadways are very well maintained. Each campsite is set up with a permanent fire ring and a solid picnic table in very good condition. Some are shaded and some are full sun. The restroom/shower facilities were very clean and well maintained. Great water pressure and hot water for an enjoyable experience! The water fill/dump station made for easy access. The office staff members were friendly and accommodating. This was our first time to this particular park, and we will definitely be back.

Nice State Park in Maryland! Pleasantly small camping area, with only 34 sites. It was an enjoyable 5 night stay! The weekend nights were busier, which apparently had the drive by female campground supervisor needing to check on every site very often. A few comments and suggestions were a little unnecessary. The weeknights were a bit better with the male drive by campground supervisor(s) simply driving by and waving! The camp host was convenient and helpful when needed for information. Pet friendly park and campground! Shower/Restroom facilities were well lit, clean and in easy access for all campsites! Beautiful shaded campsites! Each site has a large well built picnic table and fire ring with grill insert and 2 lamp posts which were quite handy! All roadways in very good condition! Lots of wildlife everywhere you look, helping to make our camping trip an enjoyable one!

We stayed at the Sparta Campground during our first trip to Kentucky. The campground is situated on a beautiful and well-kept piece of property! Spacious, Electric Campsites! Very Clean Shower/Restroom facility! Convenient Water fill area and dump station. The Campground is able to accommodate even the largest of rvs, with plenty of space to drive and turn and get set-up! The owner was extremely helpful and inviting to us! Best campground owner/operator we have met in our many years of camping!! Our black lab had a great time which made the stay all the more wonderful! Great Value for a level, shaded, clean, well-kept, electric, pet-friendly campsite in a gorgeous country campground!! We highly recommend this campground!! We will DEFINITELY stay here again!!

We stayed at this state park for 2 nights. We used both the water fill and the dump stations. We have a full service RV and did not use the shower/restroom building. Our campsite was near perfect! Large and shaded! Pet-friendly and 50 amp service! Fire ring and picnic table. We stayed on a weekend and the campground filled up quickly. Our reservation was made about a month in advance online. The state park ranger{s} did drive through from time to time to check on things which was nice to see. We will most likely camp here again!
