Excellent park in beautiful setting. Large pull throughs gravel sites if needed. The website says you must unhook if the rig is over 40 ft. We unhook always, but had plenty of room for two vehicles. Lots of room on the sites that would accommodate larger rigs. They even have the deluxe KOA sites complete with lawn furniture and gas grills. WiFi is free now with good coverage. Staff was first rate and friendly. Nice store and overall facilities were neat, clean and inviting. Will stay here again!
I was concerned about this park until I arrived. It's clean and in a very unlikely location. It's close to everything ! The staff are new and extremely friendly. Spaces are all back in spots. I found them plenty big. The manager gave us two spaces (price of one)because we have five slides. We could have survived with one space, but truck parking would have been difficult! Stayed here Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day 2013. It's all about location. The dog area was great and I will come back. You can walk to Ferry and go straight into San Francisco. Any problems reported in past are changed. Feels safe, great staff, nice little park!
We stay here often ! We just returned from 10k mile trip. Mt Gate RV ranks very high on our list of favorite parks. Owners are local and care about their customers. Nice whirl pool spa, very well maintained pool, excellent RV group facilities ! Continental breakfast and coffee. You will feel safe and the level concrete pads and large shaded sites made our 42 ft five slide fiver feel right at home! Fresh clean water and excellent newly tiled showers ! New cable and adequate Wi-Fi! Highly recommend this park. Right off I 5, near to everything ! No I am not related to owners, just really like this park!
Great location off I-505 only three miles to I-80, shopping, outlet stores etc. Our first night on west side of the park. Lots of work campers, permanent RVs . I had a water issue so went to office next morning. Manager was excellent, moved us, credited the first night! Checked on us twice over weekend. Seems the east side is newer, with a pool and very clean facilities! We will stay again! Nice park!
We stayed in our Fifth Wheel with 4 adults and one dog. The rate reflected the extra 2 people and Golden Retriever. Nice clean facility. Some dirt pads, but we had fairly level, asphalt pad with a nice lawn area. Wi-fi was about par for RV parks! Many fulltime residents, but park felt and looked safe and comfortable. Wide interior streets; no problem with 42 ft trailer plus truck. Lots of trees, grassy areas. Its location is close to a freeway and easy to find. Very close to old downtown so lots of food options and activities. Petaluma has a country feel, and the town itself is fun and folksy! This is far and away the best park anywhere near San Francisco. (We have looked extensively.) Worth the extra drive 37 miles to San Fransisco. Children will like this park. Nice pool and nice folks. We plan to stay here anytime we come to the Bay Area. I highly recommend this KOA.
It is clean and easy to find. Location is everything near San Francisco Ca. Novato is very nice and all service very close to Park. Pet friendly and mixed residents in Park. Lots of long term residents, but front section is for short overnight and weekly. Seemed safe and well cared for little park. Tight spaces, but all five slides deployed on our Montana. Gravel and pavement, sites are gravel and mostly level. Parking at your site for two cars. Tight yes but still doable. We felt safe and staff is wonderful. Deli on site. I would stay here again. May be best in area from what I found.
Excellent park like no other I have stayed. Level concrete pads with lush lawns. Most sites allow for back in or head in parking. One of the nicest locations on Sacramento River, with shopping and dining nearby. Fountains and River mask freeway noise, which runs parallel to the park. Highly recommend this park and it's very modern facilities, state of art hookups, dog wash, pet friendly. Gated and plenty of 24 hour security.
